Summer signing Christian Saydee popped up with a late equaliser for Wigan as high-flying Stockport were held to a draw at the Brick Community Stadium in League One.
The two sides had met in midweek in the Carabao Cup second round, with Wigan sneaking a 1-0 win.
With both teams showing multiple changes, it looked as though Stockport would exact the perfect revenge when Jayden Fevrier put them ahead inside four minutes, with a shot which took a massive deflection past Sam Tickle.
But County were unable to make the most of their first-half dominance, and the second period was a different story.
Morgan Fox hit the crossbar for Wigan with a superb free-kick, before the defender sent over a lovely cross from the left which was volleyed home by Saydee with 12 minutes to go.
Wigan should have immediately taken the lead when substitute Paul Mullin steered Fraser Murray's cross just wide of the far post.
And there was still time for Joseph Hungbo to meet a Saydee cross on the volley, only for Brad Hills to clear the ball off his own line.
