  1. Postpublished at 15:09 BST 25 October

    Livingston 0-0 Motherwell

Not a great sign for Livingston. Jeremy Bokila went clear through and despite having all the time in the world, he put his shot straight at the keeper.

The rebound came to Stevie May and he too, fluffed his lines. The flag then went up, very belatedly, but that was as easy a chance as you'll get.

  2. Postpublished at 15:08 BST 25 October

    Livingston 0-0 Motherwell

Stephen Craigan is sat next to me and he's just put his head in his hands as Motherwell are penalised for a foul shy in line with the Livingston box.

That was moments after a free-kick about 25 yards from goal rolled straight into the Livingston wall.

  3. goal

GOAL Greenock Morton 0-1 St Johnstonepublished at 15:07 BST 25 October

    Cheick Diabate

The Scottish Championship is off to a flyer with three goals already.

Leaders St Johnstone hit the front with Cheick Diabate heading home.

  4. Good crowd inside Tannadicepublished at 15:06 BST 25 October

    Dundee United 0-0 St Mirren

    Kheredine Idessane
    BBC Scotland at Tannadice

As befits the team sitting fourth in the Premiership, and therefore playing pretty well, there's a very healthy home crowd inside Tannadice this afternoon as we get under way, with the Tangerines pushing forward straight away.

Over to my left, there's a small but noisy band of black and white-clad St Mirren supporters hoping for an away win.

  5. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:05 BST 25 October

    Falkirk 0-0 Dundee

Dundee could easily be in front already. A Ryan Astley throw is flicked to the back post and Simon Murray fires on target from a tight angle.

But Scott Bain saves with his legs. From the resulting corner, Astley's header goes across the face of goal but nobody is there for Dundee to tap home.

  6. goal

GOAL Ross County 2-0 Dunfermline Athleticpublished at 15:05 BST 25 October

    Jordan White

Ronan Hale sets up Jordan White for County's second. What a start for Tony Docherty's side.

  9. 'We've got to match St Mirren physicality and energy 'published at 15:01 BST 25 October

Dundee United v St Mirren (15:00)

Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin tells BBC Sportsound: "We've got to go and match the physicality and energy of St Mirren, that's why we've made the types of changes we had from Rangers last week.

"We've tried to get a bit more aggression and height in the team because set plays are going to play a big part here today. St Mirren get into your box on any occasion with long throw-ins, free-kicks or corner kicks.

"It's going to be a difficult, physical game but we have to remember we have to go and play our game as well and not get dragged into a dog fight."

  10. Martindale putting square pegs in round holespublished at 14:55 BST 25 October

    Livingston v Motherwell (15:00)

Livingston manager David Martindale tells BBC Scotland: "Probably enforced changes, to be honest. Connor McLennan is out with a touch of concussion, Shane Blaney has a hamstring injury and Adam Montgomery has a calf injury. We've got seven or eight players out just now so it's been a tough period.

"You're trying to get continuity and consistency in the group, so it's difficult. I feel that's one of the most important aspects of being in the Premiership. Today, we've had to be creative in terms of our starting XI.

"It's a wee bit of square pegs in round holes but it's forced and it's part of management. I'm expecting big things of Joshua [Brenet], but it's maybe a game too early if I'm being really honest."

  11. Hot air?published at 14:54 BST 25 October

Dundee Utd v St Mirren (15:00)

    Kheredine Idessane
    BBC Scotland at Tannadice

It's a bonkers Premiership, really. Seven teams separated by just two points from Hibernian in third to Dundee in ninth.

Dundee United are fourth but just a point clear of their seventh-placed visitors this afternoon.

Their recent record against St Mirren, with the exception of the last time they met here in Dundee, is very good with just one defeat in the past half-dozen encounters across all competitions.

I'm expecting goals today but either a draw or a one-goal margin of victory.

And Allan Preston, analysing for Open All Mics on Sportsound beside me, has just turned his wee heater round so that I get a blast of hot air.

I'll let you write your own gags from there.

  12. Askou can't change Motherwell 'overnight'published at 14:51 BST 25 October

    Livingston v Motherwell (15:00)

Motherwell manager Jens Berthel Askou tells BBC Scotland: "AP [Stamatelopoulos] is back in the starting line-up, and we rotated in the centre-backs to make sure everyone is sharp.

"It's fantastic to have Callum [Slattery] back, he's been out for some weeks now. He's looking really good, thriving before he got injured. Hopefully, he will come on today and make a difference.

"I haven't found anything to question the mentality. The mentality is top. We are very early, there are things to improve, we're trying to build a new identity and a new approach on top of 140 years of football history at this club. You don't do that overnight."

  13. 'Big things' to come from Brenetpublished at 14:47 BST 25 October

    Livingston v Motherwell (15:00)

    Charlotte Cohen
BBC Scotland at Home of the Set Fare Arena

David Martindale told me pre-match he's expecting "big things" from Curacao defender Josh Brenet, who makes his debut this afternoon.

The 31-year-old is yet to feature for Livi since joining as a free agent at the start of October but featured for Curacao in their 2-0 World Cup qualifier win over Jamaica two weeks ago.

Mikael Mandron has a slight knee issue and thus drops to the St Mirren bench today.

  15. 'Big week' for St Mirrenpublished at 14:44 BST 25 October

Dundee United v St Mirren (15:00)

St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson tells BBC Sportsound: "It's a big week, one we're going to try and embrace.

"Nothing else matters, don't look too far in front of you. That's what I always tell the players and make sure we put a good performance in today because, If you don't, you might not be involved in the Sunday games.

"It's really important we stop this losing run we're on. We've lost a couple of games in a row. It's important we don't lose three in a row. We have to get some sort of result today."

  16. Murray to start motoring?published at 14:42 BST 25 October

    Falkirk v Dundee (15:00)

    Kenny Crawford

Scottish football fans all know what Simon Murray can do, but his usual flow of goals hasn’t quite happened this season, due to some injury issues and Dundee finding their feet under Steven Pressley.

Murray has three goals this campaign, with only one one in the league. Perhaps this is the day the former Dundee United and Hibernian frontman starts a proper scoring streak.

  17. McGlynn targets rare home winpublished at 14:40 BST 25 October

    Falkirk v Dundee (15:00)

Falkirk manager John McGlynn tells BBC Sportsound: "We've got three centre-backs out, which doesn't help us but it opens the door for others to come in. We've got the numbers but it's just injuries all in the one place.

"You've just got to get on with it. We need to try to get a win at home. It's not through a lack of effort, there's a number we maybe should have won.

"That's our target today, get a home win and get back-to-back wins."

  18. Pressley looking for Dundee to be 'on right side of fine margins'published at 14:38 BST 25 October

    Falkirk v Dundee (15:00)

Dundee manager Steven Pressley tells BBC Sportsound: "I've said numerous times that this league, the games are decided by really fine margins and we've got to ensure we're on the right side of that today.

"Paul Digby's last display before the Celtic game was at Ibrox where he was terrific as well and then he unfortunately got injured.

"Ethan Hamilton has come in, I saw him a lot on my travels in England, and I really liked him. He's got that devilment and aggression, but he's got an awful lot more than that. It's great to have them available."

Pressley also explained Simon Murray has not been training regularly as he manages a knock and so he has had a frustrating time.
