Tanya Oxtoby's side did manage to string some passes together in the last five minutes of the half where they enjoyed their best spell of the game, and they will hope to bring Lauren Wade into the contest in the second half as she has been quiet.

    Republic of Ireland 0-3 Sweden

Another disappointing night in Dublin as the Republic of Ireland are defeated 3-0 by Sweden. The scoreline is perhaps harsh but Sweden showed their quality throughout and picked off an Irish team who are still searching for a first goal in Euro 2025 qualifying.

GOAL Republic of Ireland 0-3 Swedenpublished at 21:15 British Summer Time 31 May

    Johanna Kaneryd (85 mins)

The final nail in the Irish coffin is perhaps a harsh third goal for Sweden. However, they caught Ireland on a brilliant counter attack after a corner at the other end. Kaneryd has put in a player of the match performance and led the charge forward.

She fed substitute Matilda Vinberg who was denied by a good Brosnan save. Despite being outnumbered five-to-one by green shirts, Kaneryd was quickest to the rebound and finished via the crossbar.
