    Northern Ireland striker Simone Magill believes that all the pressure will be on Portugal in their Euro 2025 qualifier.

    Portugal are top of the group after two wins in their first two qualifying games.

    Magill hopes that Northern Ireland can embrace the challenge at hand and play without fear.

    "The pressure is completely on Portugal," the 29-year-old told BBC Sport NI

    "All expectation is on them, so we'll relish the challenge and for us, we need to go out and try things we've been working on."

    Northern Ireland manager Tanya Oxtoby says that her side are "ready for the challenge" of facing Portugal in Euro 2025 qualifying.

    Portugal, who have qualified for the last two Euros and the recent World Cup, are top of the group having won their opening two games.

    But Oxtoby is not daunted by the task that awaits third-place NI.

    "I think we are going to learn a lot about ourselves," she said.

    Portugal are the top seeds in the group and have qualified for the last three major tournaments.

    Despite a disappointing Nations League campaign they are ranked 21st in the fifa world rankings 25 places ahead of Northern Ireland.

    Their manager Francisco Neto has been at the helm since 2014 whilst their captain Silvia Rebelo has 124 caps.

    She, like the majority of the squad, play their club football in Portugal.

    It is another big night for Linfield's Keri Halliday who makes her second successive start for Northern Ireland.

    Halliday repaid the faith of boss Tanya Oxtoby with an impressive performance against Bosnia-Herzegovina last time out and she will be hopeful of causing problems for Portugal when Northern Ireland counter-attack

    Oxtoby has turned to her experienced and more defensive minded performers for this tough test, with Rachel Dugdale and Rebecca Holloway restored to the team.

    Joely Andrews, Danielle Maxwell and in the in-form Casey Howe present strong options off the bench if Northern Ireland need an injection of pace.
