You really have to start picking up points because as it stands now you could be facing a Real Madrid, Bayern Munich or a Wolfsburg type team in the next round, which is a big team to face.
But if you can pick up a few more points you could be in a much safer position and have the advantage going into that play-off phase.

Real Madrid have done really well so far and it will be another big test [for Arsenal]. It just goes to show you the quality of the teams now in the Champions League and that the league phase absolutely works, because you are seeing the current holders in 11th place.

Image source, Getty ImagesArsenal boss Renee Slegers admits her side have to start creating more chances as they gear up for a Women’s Champions League clash with Real Madrid.
The Gunners were held to a goalless Women’s Super League draw with north London rivals Tottenham on Sunday, which followed a 3-2 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League last week, having led 2-0 at the break.
Slegers said: “We don’t deny it, we acknowledge it’s difficult. We also know the strength of the team. We know what we’re capable of and the strengths we have in the squad.
“Bayern was a good first half against a top opponent. Second half, we of course try to be critical of ourselves, we gave it away.
“A lot of games and a short turnaround into a north London derby. Compared to last year and how easy it was for us to score goals with the type of opportunities we created, that’s a little bit harder for us at the moment.”
This is the first of two matches today involving English sides with Arsenal in action later on tonight...

A great half for the neutral.
United went ahead through Fridolina Rolfo, but three errors, two from Safia Middleton-Patel and one from Julia Zigiotti Olme, saw the German side storm 3-1 ahead, only for Melvine Malard to pull one back in first-half injury-time.

That's exactly the response that United would have wanted to have. Malard with the ingenuity to just spin and lob it over the keeper Johannes, who gets fingertips on the ball but wasn't able to direct it away.
Melvine Malard
A crazy first-half and hope for United. The ball is knocked back by Wolfsburg's Janina Minge, but Melvine Malard shows her predatory instincts with a hooked lofted shot on the turn from the edge of the penalty area.
Home goalkeeper Stina Johannes gets a hand to it, but can't keep it out and United cut the deficit to one.

That is an absolutely sensational strike from Beerenstyn into the top corner. There's nothing Middleton-Patel could do about that one. Again [it comes from] a turnover in United's half.
Lineth Beerensteyn
Another mistake from United ruthlessly punished by Wolfsburg.
Julia Zigiotti Olme plays a loose pass 35 yards out and it is straight to Lineth Beerensteyn, but what a strike from the home player.
She unleashes one from 25 yards and Safia Middleton-Patel, who arguably should have done better with both of Wolfsburg's first two goals, has no chance with this one.

That free-kick for United saw Julia Zigiotti Olme strike it well, but it was always straight at goalkeeper Stina Johannes, and she shows some good handling by catching it well.

There is an awareness now that Wolfsburg do provide a threat going forward. United have to make it much harder for them to make goal scoring opportunities.

This should never be a goal from that distance. United had plenty of time to get out of the box, squeeze out and put pressure.
They don't win the second contact and Peddemors does the right thing, bends it on target, but there is no way she should be scoring from there.
Wolfsburg now feel the momentum is back with them a little bit.

From one down to 2-1 up and it is not going to be happy viewing for United keeper Safia Middleton-Patel.
There looks to be no danger when Ella Peddemors, the goalscorer of Wolfsburg's first goal, looks to put in a low cross from about 35 yards out.
But her ball into the box evades everyone, bounces once and that catches out Middleton-Patel, who can't get there with her dive and the ball creeps into the far corner.

[Corners] are definitely going to be a weapon for Wolfsburg. They just load the box and Kuver is definitely a presence in there with her height. She just unsighted Middleton-Patel there.
