On the mood after defeat in the derby at the weekend: "There's a frustration with the two-day turnaround, it's not enough to get the energy levels up but we've had another three days and what I know about this group is that they're ready and hungry to put that right.

"We don't sulk, we just get on with our job. We now have a tough task that we are all looking forward to."

The Wolfsburg weakness will probably be in that back line. With the speed that United have going forward, how prolific they've been, especially the likes of [Melvine] Malard who scored against PSG, and the amount of goals they conceded against Lyon too.

Wolfsburg

Wolfsburg manager Stephan Lerch speaking to Disney+: "The last match [a 3-1 German Cup win over Freiburg on Saturday] was important for us. Hopefully we can put the energy and the good result into the next match today.

"We have many young players, so they can learn a lot in this competition. They can collect experience on this level because we have to measure with the best. We have some experienced players too, so they can help in some situations. It's a good mix."

On Manchester United: "They have a good team, strong players, especially in the offence. We have to control the space in behind and win the defensive duels. In possession we want to play our match, have good positional play and hopefully we can put a lot of pressure to them."

Both Manchester United and Arsenal slumped to disappointing results in the Women's Super League this past weekend, with Manchester's Reds handed a 3-0 beating at Manchester City's Etihad Stadium, and North London's Reds stifled at Brisbane Road with a goalless draw against Tottenham.

If Manchester United win, they will be on 12 points, and if Lyon don't pick up the points against Juventus, then they're top of the table with Barcelona not playing until Thursday. It's just wild.

The league phase has been amazing for the Women's Champions League. There's been a lot of drama and I love it. I think maybe after this matchday we might start to see a little breakaway group at the top, and then teams at the bottom are going to need to start picking up points.

Manchester United

Manchester United face Wolfsburg as they look to make it four wins from four in the competition.

United, though, will be looking to bounce back from their domestic 3-0 defeat by Manchester City at the weekend.

Boss Marc Skinner told a news conference: “We were good against Manchester City in moments, we just needed to be a little bit better in both boxes.

“Hopefully we can rectify that. We’re really looking forward to it. If you’d have said to me we’re sitting on nine points with Lyon and Barcelona after three games, I’d have bit your hand off."

Manchester United winning their first three games in their first year [in the main competition] is phenomenal. I 100% back them against Wolfsburg.

Wolfsburg's game against Lyon was not two giants coming up against each other, it was very, very one sided. Wolfsburg haven't looked like the Wolfsburg we know, the one in past seasons.

Two of the sides with 100% records are in action in the early matches as Lyon and Manchester United are on their travels at Juventus and Wolfsburg respectively.

Arsenal versus Real Madrid is then the pick of the later games.

This is how it looks after each team has played three of their six matches in the league phase.

When this stage is completed, the top four sides advance straight into the quarter-finals, while those between fifth and 12th meet in play-offs to sort out the final four places.

Anyone coming 13th or worse is eliminated.

Alexandra Popp leads the attacking line for Wolfsburg, who have made four changes from Saturday's German Cup win over Freiburg.
