Doncaster held off a late Bradford charge to win their Yorkshire derby at Valley Parade.
Second-half goals from Luke Molyneux and Billy Sharp clinched a deserved 2-1 win as Grant McCann’s side bounced back from a home defeat to Bromley, though Andy Cook’s 10th goal of the season set up a frantic finish.
Bradford keeper Sam Walker saved from Kyle Hurst and Molyneux, who also shot just wide as Doncaster controlled the first half.
The closest chance came from Doncaster captain Owen Bailey, with Neill Byrne getting a faint touch to deflect his goal-bound effort wide.
Jay McGrath’s header early in the second half sparked a scramble in the home goalmouth but Bailey could not force it home.
Bradford striker Cook headed wide before Doncaster struck on the break, Hurst setting up Molyneux to finish from 15 yards.
Rovers struck again 10 minutes later with Hurst again the provider for Sharp to convert from close range.
Cook headed home a Lewis Richards cross but Doncaster hung on for victory.
