Lando Norris really needs to take this opportunity and try and make the most of it.

He didn't manage to do that in qualifying knowing that his championship rival [Oscar Piastri] was out of qualifying.

He then made a mistake himself by tapping the wall and not making a good improvement on his lap time.

This is where Norris really needs to try and close down that championship gap.

Daniel: This could be a turning point for Piastri but the next 45 minutes could make or break the season for Norris. Get onto the podium somehow and title fight very much on. Failing to would be an open goal missed, and potentially the final opportunity gone.

Pete: Oscar may have had one horrific weekend, but he is still very fortunate that Lando’s gains are going be rather minimal. All signs point to a championship for Piastri
