"So, Lando the hard does not look good, the soft probably similar to yesterday. That's based off Antonelli, who's pitted off it."

This has really helped out Max Verstappen because he's got clear air now, so he can use that medium tyre.

That's really going to help him make that margin so when he does box, he doesn't come out as far behind.

Lewis Hamilton said he couldn't do anything from P13 and now the seven-time world champion is sliding around on his medium tyres at the back of the field.

Out in front. Lando Norris is five seconds clear of Oscar Piastri and 11 seconds free of the Mercedes of George Russell in third.

"Oscar, we have a 10-second penalty for the safety car restart at Turn One. The best opportunity is plan C, and you need to get to your target lap with good pace. Your pace looks good. We can still make this work."

There is no denying that Oscar Piastri locked up and I understand that [the stewards] have deemed it that he wasn't in control, but he's done that in an instinct reaction to Kimi Antonelli beginning to go towards the apex.

There definitely wasn't a car width by the apex and I think that's a harsh penalty.

A 10-second penalty for ending a race and nearly ending another race is pathetic. The FIA should throw the drive-through or the stop-and-go penalties to show drivers that a move like that should never be possible. Piastri is such a lucky boy there.

  15. 'That's way too harsh of a penalty'published at 17:29 GMT

I think that's absurd, that's way too harsh of a penalty [for Oscar Piastri].

If you want him to go racing, then let's just squeeze everyone on the inside and turn in. I don't agree with that and I'm quite gutted because now we're not going to see that fight for the lead.

The Racing Bulls' cars are holding up a massive train from Isack Hadjar in fifth all the way back to Yuki Tsunoda in 13th.

There is less than a second between all those cars, so as usual we're seeing the Racing Bulls' qualify well but then struggle for race pace.

Ferrari have called in Lewis Hamilton, as the Italian team don't want to end up with both cars retiring from this race. Hamilton is in and out with medium tyres bolted on and is dead last.

Oscar Piastri is now under investigation for causing a collision. Is he about to get punished?
