  2. How can McLaren win the constructors' title?published at 11:15 BST

Singapore presents McLaren with their second opportunity to wrap up the constructors' championship, after the team failed to secure the trophy in Azerbaijan.

To be crowned champions for a 10th time - and with six races still to go - McLaren just need to score 13 points to confirm the title.

Even if McLaren don't manage 13 points, second-placed Mercedes would need to outscore them by 31 points to keep the championship alive, while Ferrari in third need to outscore the leaders by 35 points to mathematically stay in the hunt.

You can't count out Max Verstappen. Clearly, McLaren are favourites at this point; they've got a big lead in the championship and I think that their car is good enough to get them across the line. But if anyone could do it, Max Verstappen could.

The title race is very much in the McLaren corner but Max Verstappen is still mathematically in the fight for the 2025 crown.

To win his fifth consecutive title, Verstappen will need to score an average of 10 more points than Piastri in every race to overtake him in the overall standings.

There is a total of 199 race and sprint winner points up for grabs.

Charles Leclerc is doing a little bit of a race run on the medium tyre. I think this is scheduled but also, nobody really got any race running in yesterday due to the fact there were so many red flags and the session was so much shorter.

Fernando Alonso also looks to be doing something similar. He's also on the medium compound.

  7. Antonelli goes fastestpublished at 11:07 BST

Rookie Kimi Antonelli goes fastest with a time of 1:30.760 on the soft tyre in his Mercedes.

Lewis Hamilton has been noted for a potential red flag infringement, it is not yet clear what happened there.

I've made my way to Esteban Ocon's car and Haas are doing a lot of work on it. He was not happy with that first run, so they're just putting the engine covers back on, then they'll fire it up and he'll be on his way.

Liam Lawson has made it back to the pits in the green Aston Martin medical car, at quite some speed, actually, and was driven past his garage. He's gone to the medical centre because on any sort of high-impact accident, you have to go to the medical centre to get chekced over, just as a precaution.

Carlos Sainz uses the escape road at Turn 14 in his Williams, a yellow flag was waved very briefly, but the track is now green again.

Yuki Tsunoda is having some issues with his drink system. He tells his race engineer that he feels like he's "going to drown".

George Russell is on the soft tyres for the first time this weekend in his Mercedes.

The Brit crosses the line in fourth, just over six-tenths from the leader Lando Norris.

It's a busy track now with pretty much all of the drivers out.

There is a mixture of medium and soft compound tyres up and down the grid.

  15. Drivers 'sweat bucketloads'published at 10:55 BST

The conditions in Singapore - it's horrid in the car. You have a nice lukewarm shower in the morning to prepare yourself to get ready and feel fresh for the day and then you walk outside and all that work is undone. Because the moment you go outside, you're then wet again from the humidity, and you just start to sweat again. And you don't stop sweating all day.

Then you put on your fireproofs, your race suit, balaclava and helmet, and get into this dark cockpit and you sweat bucketloads. Mentally, the race is draining. Physically, it's challenging because of the heat as well. It's one of the most demanding places to go.

  18. 'Glum faces' at Racing Bullspublished at 10:52 BST

I'm just outside the Racing Bulls garage and just looking at the mechanics and engineers, they seem obviously disappointed. There are a lot of glum faces but the most disappointed person will be Liam Lawson.

We're still under red flag conditions in Singapore with 40 minutes to go.

It's a track with a combination of tight and twisty corners and the smallest of errors can be costly.

Fortunately, Liam Lawson has got on the radio to tell his team he is OK. It's into Turn Seven and I think he's got on the kerb. So, what's happened there is it looks really clumsy but it's actually really easy to do. The kerb picks the car up and he's lost drive, and then spun the rear wheels up, and that's caused the accident.
