Gareth Maybin misses cut at Malaysian Open in Kuala Lumpur

Ballyclare golfer Gareth Maybin missed the cut at the Malaysian Open in Kuala Lumpur after rounds of 77 and 73 left him on six over par for the tournament.

Maybin had a lot of ground to make up after posting a birdie, four bogeys and a double bogey in his first round.

His second round included two birdies and three bogeys.

Thailand's Kiradech Aphibarnrat leads on 10 under, with Peter Lawrie best of the Irish on five under and Padraig Harrington on four under.
