Darren Clarke is 11 shots behind leader Thongchai Jaidee after hitting a three-over 75 in Friday's second round at the Indonesian Masters in Jakarta.

Clarke was four off the pace after his opening 70 but his disappointing round on Friday included five bogeys.

Michael Hoey and Gareth Maybin both missed the cut at the China Open.

Hoey's two-over 74 - which included a triple bogey - left him two outside the level-par cut mark while Maybin was on three over despite a 71 on Friday.

Clarke is making his comeback to competitive golf after overcoming a hamstring problem.

The injury kept the Dungannon man out of last month's Masters at Augusta.

Thai player Jaidee leads Scott Barr by two shots after firing a 65 on Friday while current Open champion Ernie Els is two shots further back in a share of fourth place on six under.

Hoey looked well placed to make the cut after carding four birdies and three bogeys over his opening 11 holes on Friday.

However, he then took an eight at the par-five 12th and while he did get back to the cut mark of level par by picking up birdies at the 15th and 16th, his hopes of playing in the final two rounds were scuppered by closing bogeys.

Maybin's hopes of making the weekend were slim after his opening 76 and he missed out despite a steady 71 on Friday.

Damien McGrane is the leading Irishman on five under, which is seven adrift of leader Mikko Ilonen.

Peter Lawrie and Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley joined Hoey and Maybin in missing the cut after finishing on five over and seven over respectively.

Finn Ilonen has a two-shot lead over Brett Rumford, who won last week's Ballantine's Championship in South Korea.
