Michael Hoey finishes with a 68 at Gleneagles

Michael Hoey fired a four-under-par 68 at the Johnnie Walker Championship on Sunday to finish in joint 28th.

The Belfast player, who won the Russian Open last month, carded five birdies and a bogey to end on 10 under.

Ballyclare's Gareth Maybin endured a miserable final round with a 77 leaving him back on three under.

Shane Lowry was the best of the Irish on 14 under while Tommy Fleetwood won a play-off after finishing 18 under with Ricardo Gonzalez and Stephen Gallacher.

Lowry shot a 69 with Peter Lawrie (71) and Simon Thornton ending on four under and Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley was three under after a 75.
