    Shane Lowry powers his first putt 20 feet past the hole and misses his return effort so he cards a bogey and drops out of the lead.

    That now belongs to Rory McIlroy, who like Sepp Straka two putts for par.

    It's as you were for the penultimate group as they sign for pars at the third.

    Rose failed with a long birdie attempt but it's a decent start for the 2023 winner.

    Birdies at the second for Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry send the Irish pair into the lead.

    McIlroy's wonderful chip left him with a him a four-foot putt and he duly converted and Lowry also sunk a putt of similar distance to join him on 16 under.

    Straka's disappointing start continues as he misses his birdie attempt and now lies a shot back.

    Justin Rose rolls in from six feet to card a birdie and join the leaders on 15 under.

    Tom Kim also picks up a shot at the par five but Cam Davis sees his birdie putt come up short and he has to settle for a par.

    A birdie at the par-five second takes American Lucas Glover just one behind Straka, McIlroy and Lowry.

    A scrappy first hole for the final group with all three players missing the green with their approaches.

    McIlroy sinks a nervy eight-footer for par and Lowry also gets up and down in two but Straka sends his bunker shot through the green and has settle for a bogey five.

    All three players find the fairway at the short par-four first although McIlroy flirts with a bunker before his ball rolls to safety.

    It could be a night of celebration for Irish golf fans with Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry just a shot behind leader Sepp Straka going into tonight's final round.

    England's Justin Rose is also in contention, sitting two shots off the pace along with Cam Davis and Tom Kim.

    Lucas Glover is the best of the Americans a further stroke back while world number one Scottie Scheffler is six adrfit of Staka.
