What an extraordinary morning.

What an extraordinary morning.
You didn't mishear us Viktor.
Europe are four up!
Fleetwood/McIlroy beat Schauffele/Cantlay 2&1
Four foursome matches. Four European points.
What a morning for Team Europe!
Captain Luke Donald demanded a fast start and his players have delivered.
Fleetwood confidently seals the deal with that tiddler of the putt, sparking celebrations on the 17th green among the European contingent.
1UP Fleetwood/McIlroy v Schauffele/Cantlay (16)
Silence. Schauffele stands over his ball about nine feet from the hole... he knows immediately he's lagged it.
The cheers ringing in his ears make the matter worse.
Fleetwood from three feet for the whitewash...
1UP Fleetwood/McIlroy v Schauffele/Cantlay (16)
If Schauffele does not drop his putt, then it looks almost certain to be all over.
The clean sweep is so close Europe can smell it.
1UP Fleetwood/McIlroy v Schauffele/Cantlay (16)
The high fives say it all!
Rory McIlroy has delivered when it matters - sticking his tee-shot at the par-three 17th right at the flag.
Tweet tweet. A birdie awaits...
The Americans are also putting but that is far from certain, especially seeing as they have dropped very little today.

Right, here's the line-up for this afternoon's fourballs - and it's all change from this morning...
1UP Fleetwood/McIlroy v Schauffele/Cantlay (15)
While McIlroy was aiming to stay dry, Cantlay splashed out of the sand and left Schaffele with a good chance of a par.
When Fleetwood misses his putt, that leaves Schauffele with the chance to win the hole.
The American does just that, plopping his ball into the centre of the cup.
Game on!

No Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth this morning but surely US captain Zach Johnson will be calling on them this afternoon in the fourballs.
They have won four of their six matches when paired together in the Ryder Cup and are unbeaten in fourballs (won two out of two in fourballs).
Could they be the men to get some red on the board?

He doesn’t need a towel to clean that ball – he needs a car wash!
2UP Fleetwood/McIlroy v Schauffele/Cantlay (15)
Looks like the European ball is on terra firma, but McIlroy's feet might be squelching. And if he isn't careful he could end up falling backwards into the drink.
That's got to be on his mind. What a social media video that'd be...
McIlroy's footing remains firm, as do his wrists, as he hacks out taking a clump as big as an tiny island.
Ball, covered in mud, finds the green but it is a long putt for Fleetwood.
2UP Fleetwood/McIlroy v Schauffele/Cantlay (15)
Schauffele needs to put what just happened on the last green behind him real quick.
Finding the green will certainly do the trick... however, he's found the greenside bunker.
The Americans need to win this hole to keep their hopes of a comeback win alive.

Mike: Fleetwood Mac to make it blue Everywhere
2UP Fleetwood/McIlroy v Schauffele/Cantlay (15)
A concerned look is etched across Tommy Fleetwood's face.
His honour on the driveable par-four 16th but he looks to have pushed it close to the water. Like, really close.

Unbelievable.
A fantastic putt from Tommy Fleetwood and the crowd reaction was brilliant. He piled the pressure on.
Vice-captain Francesco Molinari has a huge smile in front of me.
2UP Fleetwood/McIlroy v Schauffele/Cantlay (14)
Wow. Golf, eh?
Fleetwood Mac looked well out of this hole - but they've won it.
Incredible turnaround as Schauffele lips out with the putt back - a costly three putt for the United States.
2&1 Lowry/Straka v Fowler/Morikawa (F)
That brilliant Rickie Fowler bunker shot is essentially all for nothing though as Sepp Straka knocks in a two-footer to clinch the victory for him and Shane Lowry.
It was that front-nine burst of three straight holes that did the trick for the Europeans, with Fowler and Collin Morikawa struggling to get anything going really.
That's Europe 3-0 up and looking for a clean sweep.
1UP Fleetwood/McIlroy v Schauffele/Cantlay (14)
Tommy Fleetwood!
The roars from the 15th green might be heard at the Coliseum.
The Englishman does what Cantlay couldn't do... sinks his putt to the delight of the Rome crowd.
That's for the par - and at least a half. And it's a tricky one back for Schauffele..
2UP Lowry/Straka v Fowler/Morikawa (16)
What touch from Rickie Fowler out of the greenside bunker - he almost holes it! And the pressure of that shot makes Shane Lowry leave his birdie putt well short
