Favourite Liber Nauticus strengthened her Epsom Oaks credentials with victory in the Musidora Stakes at York.

Ryan Moore guided home the 4-6 chance from Romantic Settings and Woodland Aria as trainer Sir Michael Stoute won the race for the eighth time.

"She only does enough, so I was very happy. Hopefully she'll get better as she gets older," said the jockey.

Later, Kieren Fallon swooped late on Society Rock to win the six-furlong sprint for trainer James Fanshawe.

Liber Nauticus was having only her second career start following a debut success at Goodwood last September.
