Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers claims in his media conference that his players will not feel any pressure going into their Premier League match with Manchester City.

"People talk about pressure but for us it's excitement," says Rodgers, named Premier League Manager of the Month for March, earlier today.

"I'm sleeping well! This is what we work for as coaches and managers. It gives me great joy to see how the players have embraced the ideas.

"It's vitally important we stay calm against City. We showed that at West Ham last weekend.

"The beauty for us is this game is at Anfield. It's a special place. We will unleash our supporters."

Former Chelsea midfielder Nigel Spackman believes Jose Mourinho will be "angry" that Thibaut Courtois, on loan at Atletico Madrid, will be eligible to face his parent club in the Champions League semi-finals.

"He's a top class goalkeeper, he's the Belgium's number one. He'll be at the World Cup," Spackman told BBC Radio 5 live. "He's had a tremendous season for Atletico and I think Chelsea will be very angry that he's allowed to play, and maybe they don't even get a fee.

"I think they wanted a fee for him to play. He's a top-class goalkeeper who over the next couple of seasons might become first choice at Chelsea."

Crystal Palace boss Tony Pulis hopes to have a fully fit squad to choose from when his side host Aston Villa on Saturday.

Dwight Gayle returned from an ankle injury to score five goals in an Under-21s fixture against Brentford on Wednesday night but the striker is not considered ready to start.

The Eagles have no other major injury concerns ahead of the contest at Selhurst Park as Pulis' side look to take another step closer to survival.

Chris Stubbins:, external Glad that common sense seems to have prevailed over Thibaut Courtois. Wrong to stop a player who has not played for his parent club in three years.

Silas Buzo:, external Atletico Madrid v Chelsea, will be a delight to watch most especially with Courtois in between the posts for Atletico.

Nico Fleche:, external I can see the outrage now, Thibaut Courtois to save a penalty in a shootout to deny Chelsea a place in the final.

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert has a trio of key players available again for Saturday's Premier League clash at Crystal Palace.

Striker Gabby Agbonlahor and midfielders Fabian Delph and Karim El Ahmadi missed last weekend's 2-1 defeat at home to Fulham either through illness or injury, but all have trained this week and should return to the starting line-up.

Lambert remains without six long term-injured in Christian Benteke, Libor Kozak, Charles N'Zogbia, Jores Okore, Nicklas Helenius and Gary Gardner.

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini also believes the outcome of his side's match with Liverpool will not necessarily decide the destination of the Premier League title.

"It's a very big game, but I do not think it will choose the title. Every game is a big game now until the end of the season," he says.

"Liverpool have had a great season, so this is an important game. It's a very big game, it's the team who are at the top of the table.

"Of course the team that wins this game has more of a chance to win the title. But if you think this is the finish of the Premier League, I think it is a mistake."

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini confirms at the club's news conference that Sergio Aguero will be fit for his side's Premier League match with leaders Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.

The Argentina forward has been out with a hamstring injury since City's 2-1 defeat to Barcelona in the Champions League on 12 March.

"Sergio is OK. He worked all week with the squad normally. It's very important to have him back. He's a top player," Pellegrini says.

"It's very difficult for their defence to stop him and so it's very important for us. All the squad is OK, except for Matija Nastasic."

Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino says he wants to manage in the Premier League for many years to come but has stopped short of confirming whether that would be at Southampton after being linked this week with Tottenham.

"In football I am very much accustomed to living with these rumours," he said. "I have been living with and hearing these rumours all my life, firstly as a player and then as a manager. I am just calm. I am not reacting to these rumours.

"I am fully focused on the job ahead. My job ahead is these last five games of the season with Southampton to try and get as many points as we can.

"Tottenham still have a manager, I still have one more year on my contract, I don't talk about rumours and I'm focused on this job."

Chelsea's Champions League semi-final opponents Atletico Madrid are the only one of the teams in the last four to have never lifted the European Cup.

It means the 40-year-old will now be free to take his place in the dugout for Saturday's Scottish Cup semi-final against Rangers at Ibrox.

Bayern Munich captain Philipp Lahm believes the best two teams left in the Champions League will meet in his side's semi-final with Real Madrid.

Sir Dave Brailsford, who announced earlier on Friday he is leaving his role as British Cycling performance director to concentrate on his role as principal with Team Sky, admits that it is the right decision for him.

"Since London 2012, we have worked hard on succession planning and that has meant we've got to a point where I can move on, knowing the team will go from strength to strength," he said.

"I have some extraordinary memories - not just from Olympic Games and World Championships but also just day-to-day seeing cycling go from a fringe activity to a mainstream sport. I've always said that, more than any of the medals, the transformation of cycling in Britain is the single thing I'm most proud of having helped achieve."
