Former Liverpool player Steve McManaman says he is "impressed" with the club's recruitment this summer.
The Reds have completed seven signings including Lazar Markovic, Emre Can and Adam Lallana, with a £12m deal also close to completion for Sevilla's Alberto Moreno.
"Like most Liverpool fans, I've been really impressed by the business they've done," McManaman tells the Liverpool Echo., external "The manager had already targeted players and the club went out and got them."

Manchester United will pay the price of not making enough signings this summer, according to former player Paul Scholes.
New manager Louis van Gaal has impressed Scholes, who says the Dutchman "looks a bit of a scary man", but despite the club's spend of around £60m on Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera, he feels more fresh talent is needed.
"My instinct is that the title will be between Manchester City and Chelsea," writes Scholes in the Independent., external "To my mind, United needed to buy a top-level midfielder, of which there were very few available this summer."

Hull City manager Steve Bruce says the transfer fee received for Shane Long, reported to be about £12m, is to be invested back into improving his squad., external
"We will make it bigger and better, and we'll be looking to find a replacement," adds Bruce. "With what lies ahead for us, I'd like at least another three players to come through the door.
