    More reaction on the exit of Tony Pulis at Crystal Palace. Crystal Palace Supporters Trust spokesman Chris Waters tells BBC Radio 5 live that the timing of the manager's exit is "spectacularly terrible".

    He adds: "I suspect that Tony's wanted to buy experienced Premier League players, who are very expensive and and on very high wages. I don't think that Steve Parish agrees that we should be buying all these players - we should be buying younger ones who are cheaper, with something to prove to sell on at a bigger resale value later."

    Understandably, the back pages of England's national newspapers on Friday are full of the goings on at Crystal Palace. The Daily Express headline (above) is 'Pulis In Palace Revolt'. The Daily Mirror, external adds: "There were rumours Steve Parish (co-chairman) had promised him £30m but with 48 hours of the new season to go the Eagles had forked out just £2.5m for four new players.

    They also missed out on Gylfi Sigurdsson, Steven Caulker and others which clearly was the straw that broke the camel's back."
