Cardiff-based King, originally from Hampshire, crashed on a regular training route in south Wales after a member of her group hit a pothole.

In a statement, the 23-year-old says: "I'll always be grateful for the unbelievable care I've received here at Prince Charles Hospital and will never be able to thank the staff enough."

"On Saturday, only 29,000 tickets had been sold. But in recent days, ticket sales have risen beyond 32,000. Organisers are hopeful they can sell more than 50,000 - despite many tickets costing £40."

Portugal and former Chelsea defender Ricardo Carvalho has described Cristiano Ronaldo as "almost perfect" as the Real Madrid winger prepares to face Lionel Messi tomorrow.

The two superstars will meet in England for the first time since 2008 when Argentina play Portugal in a friendly at Old Trafford tomorrow. Speaking ahead of the match, Carvalho said Ronaldo had surpassed Messi and should now be considered the world's best.

"When you see him, he is almost perfect," Carvalho said. "Strong, good in the air, fit always. It is difficult to say what he is missing. He wants always more and more, even in training.

"I am a little bit biased, but I think he is the best. All of us expect him to win the Ballon d'Or. We are so proud of him. He had done a great job during this past six or seven years."

The club have allowed convicted rapist Ched Evans to train with them following his release from prison.

Heaton says in a statement: "I firmly believe that Ched Evans has the right to rebuild his career in football - but rebuilding a career should not involve walking straight out of prison and into the shirt of the club he so badly let down.

"I believe he needs to move away and move on, and the club itself needs to lift its reputation out of the gutter."

BBC sports editor Dan Roan reports: "Football Association chairman Greg Dyke has written to Fifa's top executives demanding a report into alleged World Cup corruption is published in full.

"A 42-page summary report was released last week but quickly criticised by Michael Garcia, who spent two years investigating the claims of wrongdoing.

"The report cleared Russia and Qatar of corruption over their 2018 and 2022 bids but said England broke rules.

"Dyke wants Garcia's findings published, writing: 'We cannot go on like this.'"

  8. Scotland v Englandpublished at 17:33 Greenwich Mean Time 17 November 2014

The England press conference has wrapped up, and we'll have a full report on the thoughts of Roy Hodgson and Wayne Rooney up on the site shortly.

Our report on Scotland manager Gordon Strachan's press conference earlier today is up now - and he admits he is juggling a desire to beat England with satisfying his squad's hopes of featuring in the game.

"I would love to give everybody the experience of playing the game, one way or another, but I've got to balance it with wanting to win it," Strachan said.

  9. England press conferencepublished at 17:25 Greenwich Mean Time 17 November 2014

England captain Wayne Rooney, elaborating on his Celtic Park memories: "I'm friends with Alan Stubbs [the Hibernian head coach, and a former Everton team-mate of Rooney], who played up here for a while.

"He told me about the atmosphere before I played here. To play here was a completely different thing. The atmosphere before the start of the game is incredible. The fans are going to get right behind the Scotland players, and we have to be ready for it."

Asked to compare Celtic Park to Ibrox for atmosphere, Rooney managed a deft sidestep: "I couldn't compare the two."

    Paul GascoigneImage source, Getty Images

Wayne Rooney on his Scotland v England memories: "The biggest moment I can remember is Paul Gascoigne's goal. There are obviously other big moments in England v Scotland games but in my lifetime that is the most fresh in the memory."

Gascoigne struck a spectacular volley in a 2-0 England win over Scotland at Wembley during Euro 1996.

  11. England press conferencepublished at 17:19 Greenwich Mean Time 17 November 2014

England boss Roy Hodgson, asking if there can be such a thing as a friendly against Scotland: "Why not? I don't really know why not? The game at Wembley last year was fantastic for us, we had to pull out all the stops. For me that's the type of friendly you want.

"Qualifying has to be our be-all and end-all but in between we are trying to find fixtures that will test us, give us a flavour of matches to come. I won't go down the obvious route of 'we don't like the Scots' or 'they don't like us' because in my lifetime it's not something I've come across."

  12. England press conferencepublished at 17:17 Greenwich Mean Time 17 November 2014

England captain Wayne Rooney on the form of former Manchester United colleague Danny Welbeck, now with Arsenal: "He is playing matches - and for any footballer it is always great when you are playing matches.

"I think that's shown in his performances and where we are concerned he is doing well for England. Hopefully he keeps doing well and scoring goals for us."

  13. England press conferencepublished at 17:11 Greenwich Mean Time 17 November 2014

England captain Wayne Rooney on Scotland: "We are on a good run at the moment and I think it's important we continue this form and getting the results because we know our next game is in March and it will be disappointing if we come off a bad result with such a long wait."

  14. England press conferencepublished at 17:11 Greenwich Mean Time 17 November 2014

England captain Wayne Rooney: "I've played here in the Champions League. It will be loud and intense. I've spoken to the players to make sure they're ready because if you're not, it can take you by surprise.

"I was excited when this fixture was arranged. I think it will be a good game."

  15. England press conferencepublished at 17:08 Greenwich Mean Time 17 November 2014

England boss Roy Hodgson: "I don't expect it to be especially physical. It will be hard fought I'm sure, competitive. I'm sure each challenge will be competed for but Scotland aren't that type of team and set their stall out to play football like we do.

On the chances of former Celtic keeper Fraser Forster, now with Southampton, playing for England at Celtic Park: "The major focus here is on Fraser Forster and if I choose him it won't be for any sentimental reasons at Celtic Park, it will be because he deserves a start. I will disappoint one goalkeeper but I don't want to say which one of them I have chosen until we have our team meeting."

  16. England press conferencepublished at 17:05 Greenwich Mean Time 17 November 2014

England boss Roy Hodgson: "I haven't spoken to the team yet so the team themselves don't know. We will have a team meeting at 19:00 GMT and I wont be revealing anything until then in terms of personnel.

"It's an exciting game and we know we will be given a tough test up here."
