Leicester City winger Jack Barmby, 20, has joined Championship outfit Rotherham United, external on a one-month loan deal.
Barmby scored five goals in 17 appearances during a loan spell at League Two Hartlepool United last season.
Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe says he hopes to add one or two players before the end of the January transfer window.
Howe's side sit top of the Championship and are the highest scorers in the league, but he says that will not stop him strengthening his squad.
Bournemouth have already extended the loan stay of keeper Artur Boruc.
"It would be nice come the end of January if we can welcome one, maybe two players who can make a difference," Howe told BBC Radio Solent.

Team Wiggins will operate independently of British Cycling, but the governing body has given its backing to the outfit, which aims to provide opportunities for British riders to gain experience and track time together in the build-up to Rio 2016.
The team will feature young British talent including Andy Tennant, Owain Doull, Mark Christian, Jon Dibben, Steven Burke, Daniel Patten, Mike Thompson and Iain Paton.
The team's calendar of UK track and road events will be unveiled in spring 2015.
Nigel Pearson says Leicester "worked hard" to secure the signature of Croatia striker Andrej Kramaric for a club-record fee of £9m.
"He has represented Croatia at every level and it speaks volumes of the lad that he is prepared to come to us in the situation we are in at the moment," Pearson said.

Swansea City youngster Rory Donnelly has completed a season-long loan deal, external with League Two club Tranmere Rovers, subject to international clearance.
The striker, 22, has represented Northern Ireland at Under-21 level.

Roger Federer won his 997th match on the ATP Tour, but not before surviving an almighty scare from Australian wildcard John Millman at the Brisbane International.
Playing his first match of the year, world number two Federer had to come from a set and a break down to overhaul Millman 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 in just over two hours.
Federer was out of sorts throughout the match against a player ranked 151 places below him, making 38 unforced errors - most of them in the opening set-and-a-half.

The armed forces teams have all secured home ties in the draw for the first round of the 2015 Challenge Cup.
The draw paired The Army with Cumbrian amateurs Wath Brow, the Royal Navy with Saddleworth Rangers and the RAF with Siddal, of Halifax. The 40 clubs involved in the first round will play down to 10 and will be joined by Kingstone Press League 1 opposition in the third round in March.
The final will be at Wembley on Saturday 29 August.
The Oldham Athletic Supporters' Trust issues a statement as the club confirms a deal for Ched Evans is off: "This is an emotive issue and as such we would ask that all members and fans respect the views of their fellow supporters in the general debate. You certainly have a right to free thought and free speech, but we would ask that you please try to avoid abusive comments and conduct.
"We would especially ask all fans and others to respect the staff of the club who have unfortunately been subjected to extreme and unnecessary attacks and threats whilst doing no more than their jobs."

This won't come as a surprise but Wilfried Bony's future was the main topic of conversation at the Swansea news conference.
The striker is tipped to join Manchester City for a fee in the region of £30m.
Boss Garry Monk said: "It is important that if we sell, it matches the valuation Swansea hold.
"Wilfried has been a top quality player for us. You've seen what he contributes to games and it is his personality as well.
"It was a risk when he came because he was untried at this level."
