Who is or has been the best football club owner and how did they have a positive impact on the club you support? Here's some of your responses so far...

Richard Fletcher: Invest over £100 million into a club, then sell it for a tenner under the condition the new owner invests £30 million into the team. Without doubt Sir Jack Hayward.

Tom Beech: Peter Coates - Stoke City. Born and bred in the Potteries. Supported the club all his life, invested a massive amount of money, knows the game inside out and understands the role of chairman (I'm looking at you Vincent Tan). Couldn't wish for a better owner. No outside interference on transfers or making the headlines for the wrong reasons, just a passionate fan like the rest of us (with a few self made billions in the bank! Which has also brought thousands of jobs to the area).

Jon 'T' Finlay: Niall Quinn all day long. Legend as a player, gave his testimonial money to local hospital children's ward (before then players never did that). Became manager, then chairman, bought the club and left us in a solid financial position with a billionaire backer. The man is pure class.

Sarah Scooby Rea: Sir Jack Hayward. Gave so much and only got £10 back. True gent and a Wolves legend.

David Pettett: 100% Steve Gibson. Saved Boro from extinction in 1986 and turned the club right around to what we are today. Superbly run club. True legend!

Paul Damerell: Markus Liebherr and his family since his passing. From League One with minus 10 points to third in the Premier League in six seasons [for Southampton FC].

Mat 'Hagrid' Nuttall: Jack Walker (RIP), Blackburn Rovers. His love for the club got us into, and won, the Premier League.
