Paul Lambert was asked about Aston Villa's lack of goals - 11 in just 21 Premier League games.
He managed to successfully sidestep answering, instead reverting back to talking about new signing Carles Gil and said: "He can certainly play the game of football, technically he is really good.
"He is really comfortable with the ball and I am looking forward to working with him."
Whether it helps improve Villa's record in front of goal remains to be seen.
Paul Lambert has been speaking to the media today.
His Aston Villa side aren't in action until Saturday, when they host Liverpool.
Instead Lambert was there to discuss new signing, attacking midfielder Carles Gil, who has joined from Valencia for £3.2m on a four-and-a-half-year deal.
"I'm not going to put masses of expectancy on him," said Lambert. "He is only 22 but he has great potential.
"He has been in La Liga, at a massive club, played against great players, and I think he is somebody who will excite the fans."

It's all over in Canberra, where England have beaten the Prime Minister's XI by 60 runs in a one-day match.

Paris St-Germain's 1-0 League Cup victory at St Etienne was held up for 10 minutes last night after fans hurled objects following a controversial goal from Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Trouble flared in the 72nd minute when striker Ibrahimovic chested the ball over the line. St Etienne argued the ball had not crossed the line but the goal stood.
A plastic water bottle was also thrown, while St Etienne coach Christophe Galtier urged supporters to calm down.
