After the death of former Wolves owner Sir Jack Hayward, we asked who is or has been the best football club owner? Here are some of your responses so far...

Steven Wybar: Sir Elton John, whose achievements in football should be applauded as much as his achievements in music.

Lane Husband: Sir John Hall. The one man to show ambition at Newcastle and back the manager. Plus, he also expanded St James' Park and invested wisely, more often than not. Nearly took us to the Premier League title. Oh, to have those days back! Not now under C-ashley. Those days are gone.

Scott Wright: Steve Lansdown, Bristol City FC. He has single-handedly kept the team afloat with his personal money, including covering debts and paying for transfers. We are now developing our ground. Lovely man as well on the few occasions I have had the privilege to meet him.
