"Aaron Lennon is one of the fastest and most agile players on Fifa. If I ever play with Spurs, he's always a starter. 92 pace, 94 agility and 92 balance - he would be a good fit for Everton who lack any real pace in wide positions."
Joey Barton is currently on BBC Radio 5 live talking about Louis van Gaal and the current Manchester United squad:
neil146146: Joey Barton does talk a lot of sense. enjoying him on #bbcdeadlineday
Ben Grounds: If Joey Barton was half the player he is a pundit, he'd be one hell of a footballer. Scathing of the current Man Utd squad.
Mark Rogerson: Totally agree with @Joey7Barton. This is worse Man Utd team since early Sir Alex days.

This has been the transfer deadline day when austerity hit home. Only three incoming transfers to the Premier League all day. Two of those are loans and with Andre Schurrle going out for big cash I make it the Prem has spent about £1m (net) all day...
Two Football League strikers on the move - Bolton's Conor Wilkinson has joined Oldham on loan for the rest of the season, while Shrewsbury have brought in Tyrone Barnett from Peterborough for an undisclosed fee.
Chris in Cirencester: YAAAWNN..Zzzzzzzzz. Transfer what day?
Jack in Telford: With this sudden wave of inactivity amongst the bottom clubs, it seems that some are already resigned to their fate!
Chris in Kent: To be honest, this transfer window was always going to be a bit quiet, lot of the big deals were done ages ago. Still not as exciting as when Torres went to my beloved Chelsea - people forget that second goal against Barcelona!
Tottenham
Tottenham confirm that Benoit Assou-Ekotto has been released from his contract with the club. Who knew he was still there?

"Darren Fletcher has been on a slow decline in the past few versions of Fifa but still has some good defensive stats that would make him a good player to have in front of your defence. 89 aggression, 83 interceptions and 85 passing suggest he is a very good defensive player who can pick a pass as well. As a Wolves fan I'd rather see him retire than play for West Brom but he seems a perfect fit for the struggling Baggies."
Derby County have signed Tom Ince on loan until the end of the season. The 23-year midfielder has struggled to make an impact at the KC Stadium since his move from Blackpool.
Derby will be his second local spell away from Hull having made six appearances for Nottingham Forest earlier this season.
Oli from Hull: Why haven't Hull done more in this window? We need more depth to the squad and will someone please buy Aluko, so Bruce can't play him!
Kevin from Woking: Don't know why people are surprised at the lack of activity. If clubs are scratching around on deadline day then it smacks of poor management.
Lee in London: Good window for Spurs off loading dead wood, but could do with signing at least one player!
West Ham
BBC World Service Sport's John Bennett:
"According to the French newspaper La Provence,, external West Ham could be frustrated in their efforts to sign the Marseille centre-back Doria. They say Doria passed his medical ahead of a potential move to East London but there are still more details to be completed. And a source has told them that the Brazilian player "will still be 'a Marseillais" tomorrow.""
The hours before the end of the transfer deadline are where agents make their livelihoods and clubs make their mistakes.
You've had all month to sign someone but no, you had to wait until the last few hours didn't you?Yes, I'm looking at you Liverpool when you signed Andy Carroll.
And you, City, when you signed Benjani even as he fell asleep at an airport.
Shame on you. Shame on you.

Adam from the Wirral: Liverpool and Rickie Lambert is like finding your childhood sweetheart when she's a bit older and she still looks good. But then you start dating and realise she's not all that. Plus she has a long list of men's names tattooed on her arm. Better to break it off.
Stoke have missed out on Aaron Lennon. Aston Villa appear to have missed out on Rickie Lambert.
Brace yourselves as we enter 'the panic buy zone'.
Liverpool
BBC Sport reporter Ben Smith tells us that Rickie Lambert has decided to stay at Liverpool.
Aston Villa, you have 100 minutes and £5m to find a striker. This is like the plot of Brewster's Millions.
Northern Ireland international Kyle Lafferty has left Championship club Norwich City to join Turkish side Caykur Rizespor on loan for the rest of the season.
And Plymouth Argyle have snapped up Anthony O'Connor from Blackburn Rovers on a permanent deal.
Into the final two hours and I'm beginning to wish I'd decided to watch The Mask tonight too. What can I tell you - Roger Johnson has left Wolves after having his contract terminated, Cabral has left Sunderland.
In short, nothing much.
There will be no incomings at League One Peterborough, and chairman Darragh MacAnthony is not happy. MacAnthony claims a Championship club has failed to make an agreed large payment preventing Posh from strengthening their squad.
"Truthfully it is a disgrace and their chairman is the same," MacAnthony says on Twitter., external "It has put us last minute in a terrible predicament which I shall now fix and once the loan window opens, we shall bring in a couple of players to help the squad.
"It's also a shambles the Football League allow this nonsense to carry on and not for the first time. I'm also sure we are not only club who it has happened to but the knock on effect is outrageous and doesn't help a club like Peterborough that's for sure!"
TWO HOURS on the clock. Barely time for a medical now, more a quick once-over. 'Yeah, looks fine that.'
You have time to watch The Mask, cook yourself a nice roast dinner or enjoy 'The Bends' followed by 'OK Computer'.
Which to be honest, is a far better evening than waiting for Rickie Lambert to decide if he fancies a trip to Villa Park.
