  1. The old 9/11 positionpublished at 22:25 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

Rochdale manager Keith Hill may not look like a football hipster, but he is at heart. Here's what he had to say about Matty Done's move to Sheffield United.

"Matty Done has had a hell of time at the club. He helped us get promoted, albeit in a different position, and has been magnificent since we moved him to a number nine/11 position."

    Any idea what that is?

Forty minutes to go. Those panic signings I was hoping for don't look like arriving.

    Tottenham

Spurs have been strongly linked with a move for MK Dons' outstanding young midfielder Dele Alli all day - and the Dons have just re-signed Keith Andrews on loan from Bolton.

Is Andrews a replacement for Alli? Andrews was brilliant for the Dons in his previous spell there.

Another Stevenage signing to tell you about - striker Danny Johnson has joined on a month's loan from Cardiff City.

And after signing Thomas Ince on loan in the last hour, Derby have allowed teenager Ivan Calero to join neighbours Burton on a month's loan.

Today, Fifa Interactive World Cup 2014 Grand Final competitor David Bytheway, external and Football Manager expert Alex Stewart will be providing insight and analysis of players involved in deals from a gamer's perspective.

"Doria was one of last year's Football Manager's outstanding defenders, the Alvarez Balanta of 2013-14. He is athletic and develops into a superb defender, although clubs are often warned off him by a supposedly selfish attitude and a lack of ambition. That's in a computer simulation, though; in the real world, Doria would likely be a brilliant signing for the Hammers."

Andy in York: Well this is exciting - not! Only one great signing so far and that's Cuadrado to Chelsea.

Andy in Coventry: You know it's a boring deadline day when the most exciting news you can find is that Darren Fletcher 'might' move somewhere!

Leo in Norwich: If Adebayor completes a loan move to West Ham, Tottenham will be left with only two recognised strikers. Risky with Europa League commitments.

    Harry Redknapp

It wouldn't be the last hour of transfer deadline day without some Harry Redknapp wheeling and dealing. And yes, I know he doesn't like that. But how else can you explain him trying to sign West Ham winger Matthew Jarvis on loan by sending West Ham forward Mauro Zarate back from his loan spell?Zarate only joined QPR a few weeks ago and it is against rules, never mind manners, to get rid of him so soon.

  10. DONE DEALSpublished at 22:05 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

Another Done deal! No, really, it's literally a Done deal. Versatile attacker Matt Done has left Rochdale for fellow League One promotion-chasers Sheffield United for an undisclosed fee.

Elsewhere in the Football League, QPR's Bruno Andrade has joined Stevenage on a one-month loan deal.

"Tom Ince is a great signing for Derby. He showed at Blackpool that he's a good Championship player and he could play a key part in Derby's automatic promotion push. Derby don't have great pace in wide positions but Ince brings 82 acceleration and 85 agility which can make him really tricky down the wings."

Ex-Hull City chairman Paul Duffen: "Benchwarmers have been around for a long time. Getting players out in the market, there are problems such as liquidity. Clubs don't have it, apart from Chelsea today. It gets frothy when a lot of things start happening a the same time, today that hasn't happened.

"There is the danger in January for a player that if it goes wrong, it could harm their career. They could find they go on-loan at a club who get relegated and end up in a worse situation than they were."

ONE HOUR TO GO. The final countdown has begun. We are into true panic signing territory now. Twitchy ass time as LvG would probably call it.

There must be at least one more big move out there. Emmanuel Adebayor? Aaron Lennon? Darren Fletcher? Anderson? Dele Alli?

    West Ham

BBC Sport's Ben Smith: "I am told West Ham are still working on a deal to sign Emmanuel Adebayor. QPR are interested and remain so but the player has indicated that he is willing to join West Ham. Now down to whether Spurs chairman Daniel Levy allows him to."

Sam in Bury St Edmunds: This has got to be one of the most boring deadline days in history, Cuadrado is class, he should shift Willian out of the way no problems whatsoever, but what are the bottom clubs thinking?

Tim in Marlow: Transfer "DUD" line day?

Chris in Aberystwyth: Great to hear Rickie Lambert is staying at Liverpool. With Sturridge back and Sterling's pace, Liverpool will hopefully finish the season better than they started.

Ex Hull City chairman Paul Duffen: "It is always an interesting day, one you don't want to be thrust into. It is such a dangerous game, as the clock is ticking down, you are only in there because you are desperate at one end or ambitious at the other.

"Deadline day means that if you haven't done your business, it means you are waiting for a transfer target to get freed up from the domino effect. Otherwise it is precarious, waiting for something to pop up.

"The medical side of things, after lunchtime you won't get a meaningful medical. You then need to have to have faith in your doctors to have a good relationship with the transfer team."

  18. DONE DEALpublished at 21:47 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

Cheltenham have made their fourth signing of the day, bringing in midfielder Jordan Wynter on a free transfer from League One leaders Bristol City.
