Roberto Soldado is Tottenham's only confirmed absentee for Saturday's Premier League meeting with bottom-club Leicester.

The Spain striker is suffering with a knee injury but it is unlikely he would have been in Mauricio Pochettino's starting line-up given the form of new England call-up Harry Kane.

Soldado's absence means Emmanuel Adebayor is expected to be named among the substitutes and Pochettino may yet ring the changes after last weekend's 3-0 defeat at Manchester United.

Provisional squad: Lloris, Vorm, Friedel, Walker, Rose, Davies, Chiriches, Kaboul, Fazio, Dier, Vertonghen, Bentaleb, Mason, Capoue, Paulinho, Stambouli, Dembele, Lamela, Townsend, Eriksen, Chadli, Adebayor, Kane.

On his own future, the Chilean said: "I have been here less than two years. Last year we won the league and a cup. That is not easy. Everyone in England is strong.

"Every manager, when they have not been winning, is under pressure. It has happened with Liverpool, Arsenal, now me. In Spain the same has happened with Carlo Ancelotti and he has won four titles."

Asked if he was still enjoying the job, he replied: "Yes. I have just played Barcelona in the Champions League, now we are fighting for the best league in the world. If you do not enjoy it, you should see a doctor."

  3. Manuel Pellegrini news conferencepublished at 13:18 Greenwich Mean Time 20 March 2015

"It is not a disaster. Only Chelsea have been better. We will keep on fighting."

Chelsea striker Diego Costa has returned to the Spain squad for upcoming matches against Ukraine and the Netherlands.

  5. Manuel Pellegrini news conferencepublished at 13:14 Greenwich Mean Time 20 March 2015

Reflecting on their Champions League exit to Barcelona on Wednesday, Pellegrini added: "It is not the end of the project. If we get the penalty anything could happen.

"We were unlucky both seasons we played against Barca. It doesn't demonstrate whether we have improved or not. If every year you play against Barca and Real Madrid it is hard. The Champions League is the target for every team that wants to be a big team. It is not easy."

"I just believe it's an article with numbers and the same way the numbers always tell the truth. No agendas, no intention, just numbers."
