    One of the most iconic moments of Italia 90 was a 38-year-old veteran and his hip wiggling dance around a corner flag.

    Milla illuminated the tournament with four goals to help 'The Indomitable Lions' become the first African nation to reach the quarter-finals.

    The twice African footballer of the year went on to become the oldest goal scorer at a World Cup finals, beating his own record set four years earlier by scoring against Russia in 1994 aged 42 years and 39 days.

    Some 1,500 fans of French second-tier side Narbonne took part in a silent march for the late Jerry Collins.

    Former All Black Collins and his wife Alana Madill died in a car crash in France on Friday and their baby daughter, Ayla, is in a critical condition in hospital.

    Juventus president Andrea Agnelli has been giving an end-of-season news conference following their domestic double, and Champions League final defeat by Barcelona.

    "We've come to the end of a year that makes us all feel very proud," he said. "I think we've returned to the level where we all want to be.

    "A €315m turnover at the end of 2013-14 enables us to go toe to toe with the biggest European sides on the pitch."

    Former England striker Darren Bent has been released by Aston Villa, who have offered Dutch defender Ron Vlaar a new deal.

    Bent, joined Villa from Sunderland for a club transfer record of £18m in 2011 and scored 25 goals in 72 appearances.

    The 31-year-old fell out of favour under manager Paul Lambert and spent last season on-loan at Brighton and Derby County.

    Vlaar, 30, is out of contract at the end of the month and has been targeted by several clubs.

    Rafael Nadal has slipped to 10th place in the world rankings - his lowest position in a decade - after suffering a quarter-final exit at the French Open.

    Stanislas Wawrinka, who won at Roland Garros, has climbed from ninth to fourth.

    Novak Djokovic remains top and Andy Murray stays third.

    Bruce Anstey secured his 10th Isle of Man TT victory by winning a thrilling six-lap Superbike race.

    The New Zealander overhauled long-time leader Ian Hutchinson after the pit-stops at the end of the fourth lap to clinch his first 'big bike' success.

    Padgett's Honda rider Anstey's winning margin was 10.97 seconds, the Kiwi setting a new race record.

    James Hillier completed the podium after Michael Dunlop crashed without serious injury while lying third.

    Despite Italia 90 boasting the talents of Diego Maradona and Lothar Matthaus, it was an unheralded Italian who stole the show.

    Salvatore Schillaci was the top scorer with six goals and was named player of the tournament as Italy finished third.

    Just the season before he had made his Serie A debut, a £3m signing for Juventus from Messina and received his first international call-up for the finals at the age of 25.

    In Italy's first first group match he came off the bench to score the winner against Austria and went on to score against the Czechoslovakia, Uruguay, Republic of Ireland, Argentina and England.

    But following the World Cup his form dried up and he only made a further 10 appearances for Italy, eventually leaving Serie A for Japan's J-League.

    These days he runs a youth academy in his home city of Palermo.

    Former Somerset and England cricketer Craig Kieswetter says the mental as well as physical scars of his eye injury forced him to retire.

    Kieswetter broke his nose and damaged his eye socket and cheekbone while batting against Northants last July and announced his retirement on Friday.

    "I came back and played a few games and got through on adrenaline and support," the 27-year-old told BBC Points West.

    "I played a T20 comp and realised that physically my eye wasn't quite right."

    Dina Asher-Smith announced herself as a genuine World Championships medal contender by clocking the second-fastest 200m time by a British woman at the Birmingham Diamond League on Sunday.

    It took a photo-finish to settle the top three places, with Asher-Smith in third just behind Asher-Smith's time of 22.30 seconds was a personal best and just one hundredth of a second behind Olympic champion Allyson Felix and winner Jeneba Tarmoh.

    Morecambe have signed midfielders Peter Murphy and Aaron Wildig, as well as defender Adam Dugdale.

    Murphy, 26, and 23-year-old Wildig have agreed two-year deals from Wycombe and Shrewsbury respectively, while 27-year-old Dugdale joins the League Two club from relegated Tranmere on a one-year contract.
