The contrasting images of intensity and energy and goals against the world champion Germans on Monday night compared to the meek surrender in Georgia three days before is just the latest manifestation of Scotland being a footballing parody of itself. The fluctuation is a brand of torture that has been reduced to a fine art in Scotland, a form of water-boarding, just for football fans.

Yes, Mark, Luxembourg's European Championship qualifier againstBelaruswill go ahead tonight - despite 16 players going down with food poisoning.

Luxembourg contacted UEFA about possibly rescheduling the game after 16 of the 20-man squad complained of severe stomach aches after eating spaghetti bolognese at the team hotel on Sunday.

However, team spokesman Marc Diederich said all of the affected players are feeling "much better" and will be able to play against Belarus.

Right, let's start building up to the big match, for there is just under four hours to go until England face Switzerland at Wembley.

But it's not a big game, we hear you cry, England have already qualified for Euro 2016.

True but not a big game? Why, how wrong can you be.

History could be made, with Wayne Rooney one goal away from becoming his country's record goalscorer, overtaking Sir Bobby Charlton.

"It would mean a lot to my family," said Rooney. "To my wife and my parents and for my children when they have grown up to see my achievements."

We'll continue our build-up over the next few hours, and there's live text commentary on the BBC Sport website from 18:30 BST.

The Millennium Stadium will be renamed the Principality Stadium in a 10-year sponsorship deal with the Cardiff-based building society.

The new name for the 74,500-seat capacity stadium, the home of Welsh rugby, will be used from January 2016.

It was built at a cost of £121m to replace the Nation Ground, Cardiff Arms Park, in time for the 1999 World Cup.

The structure, owned by the Welsh Rugby Union, is famous for having the only fully-retractable roof on a UK stadium.

We're asking if you were a manager, what would you do or ban in order to give your team the maximum chance of success?

Tight as Levy:  I'd ban Pochettino from playing 2 holding midfielders at home and also ban Erik Lamela from White Hart Lane.

Tom Howell:  I'd ban music being played after home goals if I was unlucky enough to manage a team that was guilty of doing so.

Terry Henry : I'd ban hitting the first man from corners.

Manchester United were linked with the 26-year-old but Barnett dismissed the rumours.

"He was nowhere near leaving - that was all stupid paper talk," he said. "He is very happy at Real Madrid and hopefully he'll stay for the rest of his career. "He's loving it there and things are going well for him."

Team Sky principle Sir David Brailsford has suggested Froome will not compete in Virginia in 10 days time after fracturing his foot riding in the Vuelta in Spain.

"He’s got a fracture in his foot, and he’ll be off the bike for a couple of weeks, that’s for sure," Brailsford said.

‘It looks very unlikely [he’ll compete at the worlds]. We don’t want to take any risks."
