A truly fantastic game of tennis between Rafael Nadal and Ivo Karlovic has just come to an end.

The big-serving Croatian looked as if he was going to dump Nadal out, coming back from a set down to win the second 7-6 and to take the third to another tie-break.

But in front of an enthralled crowd in Shanghai, Nadal produced some terrific tennis to take the match.

It was stunning stuff from the Spaniard, who has had such a tough year but looks like he's almost back to at least somewhere near his best.

He punched the air like he'd won Wimbledon at the end - that's how much it means to the man.

    Welcome back Rafa.
