Klopp on his first few days: "We had three very good training [sessions] - the boys are really willing to listen and understand what we want. Everything would be better if we worked together for six weeks but it's not a perfect world. It's no problem. It's not important how many faults you make in a game, it's important that nobody remembers after."

The Liverpool manager also confirmed that Christian Benteke and Roberto Firmino are close to returning but are both unlikely to feature at Spurs.

Standing room only at Liverpool's Melwood training ground and that, as you might have guessed, is all down to the Jurgen Klopp factor.

At 12:30 BST, the new Liverpool manager will begin his first weekly press conference, seven days after arriving in the city to sign a three year-deal. Of course, he will preview the trip to Spurs but there will be many more questions besides.

It has been a long time since I saw as many camera crews and journalists at a press conference here at Melwood. Three times as many as were here a fortnight ago, for what would prove to be Brendan Rodgers' last.

    'Why the £3m payment?'published at 12:16

    Arsenal AGM

    John Southall
BBC Radio Five Live football reporter

Stan Kroenke owns 67.3% of Arsenal and a payment of £3m has been paid to his company Kroenke Sports Entertainment for the last two season.

A fan submitted a question asking what this was for, to which chairman Sir Chips Keswick replied:

“I felt it was right to pay for wide range of services, we should not be in position to ask for these services for nothing. We have a majority owner who is very supportive.”

The Arsenal supporter who submitted the question walked to the front and told the board his question had not been answered, to cheers from the fans. Lively start.
