A typically confident performance from Tim Sherwood, repeating his belief that Villa will definitely stay in the Premier League.
He said he believes the club are still behind him, but does think they will require more experienced "reinforcements" in January. Whatever noises may be being made outside the club about what his future should he, Sherwood remains defiant.

Last few lines to come out of this news conference from Tim Sherwood...
"Garry Monk is a good young manager. I have a lot of respect for him. Swansea have a good philosophy of how to play and they stick to that. If you give Swansea time they will cause you problems."
After Brad Guzan made a few errors during Villa's 2-0 loss to Chelsea, Sherwood has backed his first-choice keeper to redeem himself.
"He knows he had made a mistake. But we're all in it together. No-one is the villain. Goalkeepers can only play one position. I am sure Brad has the confidence to put it right. Mark Bunn will be considered. When it's right to make the change, I will make it."

More fromTim Sherwoodon speaking to Aston Villa's owners and chief executive: "I didn't speak much to them when we were doing well last season. That's not unusual."
Sherwood does not expect a vote of confidence, just to be allowed to get on with the job, and he stressed that he needed experienced reinforcements in January.
He said the young, foreign players he had brought in were learning, and insisted there is no language barrier.
