Can Australia win it? Yes. The last couple of weeks they probably haven’t performed to the level they did earlier in the tournament but they have still got it in them. They beat the All Blacks in Sydney in August so they will have confidence."

It is an absolute joke that Jose Mourinho is being talked about as being the next Premier League manager who could lose his job. The success Mourinho has had, especially at Chelsea, means he has earned the right to have a bad three months without being sacked. He should be allowed to have a poor six months or even a bad season, because everyone has them - even Sir Alex Ferguson did at Manchester United."

Bath deny salary cap breachpublished at 17:33

    Chris Jones

Bath release a statement denying they breached the salary cap last season. They were one of the clubs reported to be under investigation by Premiership Rugby.

However, it's worth noting that no club has actually been found guilty of "breaching" the salary cap.

Instead, it was announced last week certain clubs reached "settlements" over salary cap "issues".

    Quote Message

It is very hard to bet against a team playing as well as the All Blacks have been, not only in this tournament, but across the last four years. In addition Dan Carter has been more reliable off the tee than Bernard Foley so far in this tournament, and in such a tight game as I expect that could be crucial."

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe says his players want to make fans proud by winning Sunday's south coast derby at Southampton.

"I think it's a new experience for us, since I've been here we haven't played many local derbies," adds Howe.

"We played Southampton back in League One and it was a memorable experience. But this is in the Premier League and it will be totally different.

"The players are looking forward to it and I certainly know that the fans are. I am just hoping that we can make them proud."

Bournemouth start the weekend one place above the relegation zone and six points behind sixth-placed Saints.

Newcastle United admit a charge of failing to control their players in last weekend's derby defeat at Sunderland.

A statement on Newcastle's website, external reads: "The charge relates to the players' reaction to the match official's decision, which saw Sunderland awarded a penalty and captain Fabricio Coloccini issued with a red card, which has since been rescinded.

"The club has admitted the charge but has submitted an application for it to be reassessed due to mitigating circumstances."

Southampton v Bournemouth (Sun, 16:00 GMT)

Midfielder Harry Arter is in line for his first Premier League start of the season. However, manager Eddie Howe remains without long-term absentees Callum Wilson, Max Gradel and Tyrone Mings (all knee).

Out-of-form goalkeeper Artur Boruc is still nursing a thigh problem, so Adam Federici is again expected to start in his absence. Captain Tommy Elphick is also still out with an ankle injury.

Will Carter exit in style?published at 16:45 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2015

World Cup finals seldom stick to the script. Four years ago New Zealand's triumph was masterminded in the end not by Dan Carter, nor his replacement Colin Slade, or even his back-up Aaron Cruden, but by fourth-choice fly-half Stephen Donald, a man who had been summoned from a whitebait-fishing trip and ran onto the pitch for the final wearing a shirt that appeared to be borrowed from a teenage girl.

The All Blacks will be happier with a less complicated final act this time around. Keep the bad guys at bay. Let their heroes do their thing. Make the ending a happy one, for one great champion at least.

Missed what was said earlier? Here's some of the best quotes from Premier League managers today:

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal on Paul Scholes's criticism: "You have an expression. Sticks and stones can break my bones. Names never hurt me."

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho on whether he can secure a Champions League spot: "I cannot promise."

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp on Mourinho: "I think if you are not a journalist or a referee he is a nice guy."

We don't want to jinx it, but GB's Max Whitlock and Daniel Purvis are genuine medal contenders in the all-around event this evening...

However, they will have to pull off some performance to claim the top spot as Kohei Uchimura of Japan is going for an unprecedented sixth all-around world gold medal.
