New Huddersfield Town manager David Wagner wants to bring an attacking style of play to the Championship side.

Wagner, 44, replaced Chris Powell last week and watched Saturday's 3-0 home defeat by Leeds United from the stands.

The former Borussia Dortmund coach said he was keen to develop Huddersfield's younger players into a more attack-minded squad.

He told BBC Radio Leeds: "When the board explained to me what they wanted, it was exactly what I stand for."

David Moyes was sacked as manager of La Liga strugglers Real Sociedad just a day short of his one-year anniversary at the Spanish club.

David Moyes was Everton manager for 11 years before taking over from Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United.

David Moyes' Real Sociedad team are marooned near the bottom of La Liga.

They are above the relegation zone on goal difference and a limp performance in Friday's 2-0 defeat against lowly Las Palmas left the Scot;s future in serious doubt.

Moyes's potential departure has been a slow burning story for the last few weeks, but in the last couple of days it has started to accelerate quickly.

Sociedad, known throughout Spain as 'La Real', made a poor start to the season, winning just twice (both away from home) and have nine points from their opening 11 games.

Wada president Sir Craig Reedie has admitted the contents of today's independent report are "deeply disturbing".

"The report contains a series of findings that will shock and appall athletes and sports fans worldwide, and indeed many issues that highlight very current deficiencies with the anti-doping system in Russia,” said Sir Craig.

“While the contents of the report are deeply disturbing, the investigation is hugely positive for the clean athlete as it contains significant recommendations for how Wada and its partners in the anti-doping community can, and must, take swift corrective action to ensure anti-doping programs of the highest order are in place across the board.

"Wada is fully committed in its role of leading the charge to protect the rights of clean athletes worldwide.”

Dons boss wants final-third videospublished at 15:57

    Karl Robinson

Referees should be able to use videos to ensure decisions in the final third of the pitch are correct, according to MK Dons boss Karl Robinson.

His side had a penalty appeal turned down in Saturday's 2-1 defeat by Brighton, a decision Robinson said was baffling.

"I'm not going to be one of them that suffers for 'oh, they even themselves out', that's a load of rubbish. They shouldn't have to even themselves out and it's a cop out for poor early decisions that people make," he told BBC Look East.

Former 400m runner Katharine Merry - who won bronze for Britain at the 2000 Sydney Olympics - says it is now time to "step up the penalties" for drugs cheats following the report.

She tweeted: "Not ashamed to say upset today...reading and listening to words that tear into the heart of our sport...our truly great sport. Sad times.

"It's like having a few naughty kids in a class and that tarnishes the whole class rep..gotta finally step up the penalties..fines/exclusions."

    A Question of Sport Teaser

We've made you wait a little longer than usual for the answer to our daily teaser (blame Wada and that report, not us).

Earlier we asked this: Novak Djokovic is on a 71-week streak as ATP world number one. Name the five players to hold it for longer?

The answer: Roger Federer 237, Jimmy Connors 160, Ivan Lendl 157, Pete Sampras 102, Lleyton Hewitt 75.

A major pat on the back to those who got it. No pats at all to those who failed miserably..

    Athletics

The independent commission set up by Wada has been critical of Wada itself. It found:

*Wada is under resourced to accomplish ‘necessary activities’

*Actual and potential conflicts of interest between Wada exec and foundation boards when it comes to dealing with non-compliance

*Wada has been ‘unduly tentative with signatories in requiring compliance and timely action’

*Wada has lots of good scientists but needs more investigators

*Needs to do more to encourage and help whistleblowers

British Olympian Mara Yamauchi has been on BBC Radio 5 live giving her reaction to the Wada Commission report:

“I’m not very surprised, it helps to explain a lot of the suspicions I’ve had about particularly Russian athletes who I used to compete against.

“It’s actually good for the sport, Sebastian Coe says these are dark days but it’s good to root out problems like this. Hopefully this can be a turning point for athletics and we can have a serious effort to clean up the sport.”

International police body Interpol has said it will coordinate a French-led global investigation into doping allegations in athletics.

The body announced the news at the same time as a team of investigators for the World Anti-Doping Agency recommended disciplinary action against Russia.

Last week, French prosecutors accused the sport's governing body's ex-president Lamine Diack of being involved.

He is alleged to have taken bribes to cover up doping cases.

Wada Commission - What happens next?published at 15:22

    Athletics

The Wada Commission news conference is now over but, blimey, it was hard-hitting stuff.

The stories that came out of it will run and run and the repercussions will be huge.

What happens next? Well, It will now be down to Wada to implement the report.

Although the commission has no power to act on its findings, the report's co-author McLaren told BBC World Service he wanted to see the recommendations adopted.

"It certainly means that you have to change the governance structure significantly and probably the doping regime and how it's administered," he said.
