    Remember when Daniel Sturridge used to play football? Oh, those sepia-tinged days... 

    The Liverpool striker, who is more fragile than fine china, has suffered a new injury setback after a foot problem in training ruled him out against Bordeaux in the Europa League.

    The England international - who has made three appearances this season and only 18 in 2015 - has been sent for a scan after complaining of discomfort in a foot.

    As has already been mentioned in our paper review, IAAF president Lord Coe has ended his 38-year ambassadorial paid role with US sportswear giant Nike.

    It follows conflict of interest claims over the 2021 World Championships going to Eugene, Oregon, where Nike is based.

    Athletics' governing body said Coe could remain in the role but he said it was "a distraction to the 18-hour days we are working to steady the ship".

    The Daily Express, external focuses on Kyle Edmund who is making his Davis Cup debut today. 

    "Only six men in history have made their Davis Cup debut in the final itself. Edmund, 20, will be looking to become the first of them to win a live rubber," writes the paper's Matthew Dunn.

    One day we could look back on 27 November as the first of a historic long weekend for British tennis. Great Britain's Davis Cup team begin their quest today for a first Davis Cup victory since 1936.

    Kyle Edmund will make his competition debut against Belgian number one David Goffin in the opening match (12:30 GMT).

    British number one Andy Murray will then take on world number 108, Ruben Bemelmans. It's exciting stuff.
