Liverpool v Stoke (League Cup semi-final second leg, Tuesday)

    Liverpool

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp on conceding goals from set plays: We know about this problem. It is one we can't ignore.

"We are a football team and we are always working on our weaknesses. We spoke about it intensively, we had good talks, not the first - hopefully the last.

"It is not about formation, not about quality, more about what we are doing in the situations.

"It is not too late to learn but now it is time to show we have learnt."

    Saracens debt growpublished at 12:48

    Rugby Union

Premiership champions Saracens are now £45.1m in debt, their accounts for the year to June 2015 have revealed.

The north London club made a loss of £3.98m last season, an improvement on a £5.17m deficit the year before.

Chairman Nigel Wray said having a smaller squad and "finishing 11th" was one obvious way to cut the debt.

"But that would send out a terrible message to players that we weren't ambitious and would hardly attract sponsors," he added.

Formula 1 drivers are pushing for increased cockpit head protection and higher-performance tyres from 2017.

Grand Prix Drivers' Association chairman Alexander Wurz said drivers unanimously agreed on the "swift implementation" of head protection and on wanting to "help and support Pirelli to construct a tyre fit for maximum-attack racing".

Drivers dislike the existing tyres as they can rarely push flat out on them.

  12. Hillsborough: Unlawful killing optionpublished at 12:25

    BBC

The jury at the Hillsborough inquests has been told one of its options is to consider whether the 96 victims of the disaster were unlawfully killed.

The coroner has started summing up after hearing nearly two years of evidence into the 1989 disaster.

Sir John Goldring told the jury it would be asked if error, omission or circumstances contributed to the disaster. He said the question of how the 96 died was "the most controversial".

There are certain words such as "crime" the jury should not use, he added. However, he said words such as "failure", "inappropriate" and "inadequate" could be used.

Roberto Mancini has warned misfiring Inter Milan they need to wake from their goals slumber after the Serie A giants' title challenge took a knock at the weekend.

"We're creating the chances, but we need to be more intelligent in the way we deal with them and finish them off, otherwise it becomes a problem," Mancini said after Inter dropped points for a third consecutive game in a 1-1 draw with 10-man Carpi.

"I'm 50 years old, and even I would have scored from some of the chances we had."
