West Ham v Liverpool (Tues, 19:45 GMT)

A final few words from Slaven Bilic about the test facing his players.

"Liverpool are a big club and have had their ups and downs this season," the Hammers boss says.

"Make no mistake you have to close them down and can't give them time.

"When you have the ball you need to be brave and direct and we have showed that in two out of the three games we have played them."

And that's that. All done. Liverpool's press conference - which may or may not feature the recently released from hospital Jurgen Klopp - is at 14:00 GMT.

West Ham v Liverpool (Tues, 19:45 GMT)

Slaven Bilic: "This is the third time we have played Liverpool and they have had different line-ups .

"We are well prepared for whatever team they come with. We will know that one hour before the game and it is not a big problem."

On the possibility of Daniel Sturridge being in the Reds line up, Bilic added: "Daniel is a great player and has been injured. If it is not Sturridge, it will be Benteke. They have a lot of good strikers and the difference is the midfield."

Jurgen Klopp is expected to be back in the Liverpool dugout tomorrow after missing the Reds draw with Sunderland due to appendix surgery.

"I don't think Klopp will be back because of the pressure. He will be back because he is like that. He is the leader," says Bilic.

"He is Jurgen Klopp and is a successful man. He likes to work. For him this is natural and he wants to be back."

There is better news about Joey O'Brien, who Bilic reveas is back in training after a long absence.

"Joey is a good player," says the boss. "It is a big blow that Tomkins is out but a good thing that we have Joey back. We are well covered."

It was a pleasing if untidy start for England head coach Eddie Jones, who wants his new side to maintain their early Six Nations momentum by giving Italy "a good hiding" next weekend.

Jones' opening game in charge ended with a 15-9 win in Scotland, meaning England lead the table after the first round of matches.

Now England travel to Rome next Sunday, having won all 21 of their previous meetings against the home side.

"We control our own destiny. We want to go there and smack Italy," said Jones.

"In cricket catches win matches, in rugby tackles and kicks do. But not always for the same team.

After Ireland and Wales' nerve-wracking 16-16 Six Nations draw in Dublin, both coaches were left to reflect on what might have been.

For Ireland's Joe Schmidt it was a tackle that occupied his thoughts - an illegal one.

For Gatland, it was more frustration that Wales failed to make the most of their chances close to the try-line."

    Ireland 13-13 Wales

    IrelandImage source, Getty Images

The best game of the opening weekend was in Dublin where Ireland let a 13-point lead slip as Wales fought back for a draw in a compelling Six Nations match in Dublin.

The official match statistics revealed Ireland made five line breaks while Wales made none, in spite of 51% possession and the efforts of centre Jamie Roberts.

It's a familiar accusation that Wales are too direct - critics say predictable - and can be nullified by the kind of fearless tackling Ireland exhibited at the Aviva Stadium.

But Wales did create opportunities, and Gatland felt it was rustiness rather than lack of ambition that was Wales' undoing.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp hopes to be able to return to work today, less than 48 hours after an operation to remove his appendix.

The German missed Saturday's 2-2 draw at home to Sunderland as he was undergoing surgery after falling ill and being taken to Aintree Hospital.

According to PA Sport, Klopp has expressed his desire to return to normal duties at the club's Melwood training ground today.
