Mark Hughes news conferencepublished at 15:08 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2016

Bournemouth v Stoke (Sat, 15:00 GMT)

Stoke boss Mark Hughes has praised opposition club Bournemouth and their manager Eddie Howe.

"They've been in the market and spent good money to make themselves stronger," said Hughes.

"They've lost a few players to injury and it's not easy to come in to the Premier League when you've never experienced it as a manager. He's done well."

Which clubs are good value for tickets and why?

Steven Housley: Middlesbrough season ticket family of 4 is £900, that's £10 each per game including two pints. And my wife gets to sit close to George Friend.

Ben Hick: Without a doubt Bournemouth offer the best value - £35 and it's always a good game involving them.

Sam Cox: Premier League should look at Premiership rugby clubs, £16 for a student ticket at Exeter Chiefs, currently second in the league.

Mark Hughes news conferencepublished at 15:02 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2016

Bournemouth v Stoke (Sat, 15:00 GMT)

Stoke have suffered 3-0 defeats in their last three league games, so how does boss Mark Hughes feel they will fare against Bournemouth?

"We went to Anfield without Ryan Shawcross and had a good result but in the league we've struggled at Leicester and Manchester United, although many teams lose at those places," he said.

"For the last home game we conceded early with the penalty and then the opposition sat in and picked us off on the counter. We have to learn from that and improve what we do.

"Jack Butland has had an outstanding season and has done really well. A number of saves were made against Everton but he's done it consistently this season. He's been able to get to the levels we've expected from him during games more often than not which is great."

Mark Hughes news conferencepublished at 14:56 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2016

Bournemouth v Stoke (Sat, 15:00 GMT)

Stoke boss Mark Hughes has responded to the news of striker Bojan signing a new contract with the club.

"We are delighted we got it over the line and it's good news for everybody," he said.

"At 25 years of age its the perfect time for him to really kick on here. There's a genuine feeling that this is the best place for him at this stage of his career. He really enjoys it here.

"We are trying to progress and bring good players in here, as demonstrated in the window (with Giannelli Imbula)."

Swansea v Southampton (Sat, 15:00 GMT)

One further update from Southampton manager Ronald Koeman, who is expecting an improved performance from striker Graziano Pelle.

"You saw that it was his first match after time away and he needed game time," said Koeman.

"It was good because it was after five or six weeks out and that's a long time. He's the type of player who needs game time and I expect him to be on a higher level this week then last time."

Swansea v Southampton (Sat, 15:00 GMT)

It is the question on everyone's lips. Will Leicester win the Premier League title?

"Yes, they can continue like this because they are playing with an unbelievable spirit," said Southampton boss Ronald Koeman, who play the Foxes away from home on 2 April.

"They have good players and strikers who can score and if you can beat Manchester City how they did then everyone can expect Leicester to be fighting for the title.

"Maybe at the end of the season, if they are close to something big, they may become a bit nervous but at the moment the pressure is still on the big teams like Arsenal. It would be fantastic for the Premier League if someone like Leicester can win the title."

The 28-year-old is due to stand trial at Bradford Crown Court on Friday after pleading guilty to one count of sexual activity with a child and one charge of grooming.

He also denied two charges of sexual activity with a girl aged under 16.

After five clean sheets in a row, Ronald Koeman is asked about the form of goalkeeper Fraser Forster.

"When he is out for 10 months you’re not sure how he’ll come back," said the Saints manager.

"You’re not sure if he's going to go straight in and to have that level has surprised me.

"When he starts playing like he was like before that’s a great compliment to the player and the medical staff."

Ronald Koeman news conferencepublished at 14:22 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2016

Swansea v Southampton (Sat, 15:00 GMT)

Ronald Koeman was a wonderful defender, winning the European Cup twice and La Liga four times during his career. So his advice is worth listening to, and he has given a few pointers to Victor Wanyama.

"Yes I've spoken to him and said sometimes it's better to stay on your feet," said the Southampton boss. "He has to learn. He is still young and I hope he will think about it and learn not to take the risk next time."

However, Koeman is happier with his team as a whole, after five consecutive clean sheets.

"The whole defensive organisation starts from the front," added Koeman. "The whole team needs to work hard and do good pressing. We had good defending against West Ham as they didn’t create any chances and that was outstanding."

Bojan extends Stoke dealpublished at 14:21 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2016

    Football

More on the news that Spanish striker Bojan has signed a new four-and-a-half year contract with the club.

He joined the club from Barcelona in 2014, and has gone on to score 10 goals in 41 games. Last season, Bojan suffered a serious knee injury, from which he has recovered.

"Stoke City gave me the opportunity to play in the most competitive league in the world, the Premier League, and I have only words of gratitude for their trust and for the way they have treated me since the first day I arrived to England," he told the club's website.

"Mark Hughes convinced me to come to Stoke, he has helped me and showed his trust in me from the beginning, he followed closely the recovery process from my injury and there is no doubt I have signed an extension of my contract thanks to him."

Swansea v Southampton (Sat, 15:00 GMT)

Next up in front of the media is Southampton boss Ronald Koeman. He soon faces questions about Victor Wanyama's disciplinary problems, following the midfielder's THIRD red card of the season.

"Of course it is very disappointing, first for the player and also for the team because he's a key player and always in the starting line-up," said Koeman.

"But he was a little bit unlucky because his intention was to play the ball. He missed it and the referee took a hard decision. He's suspended for five games and that’s a long time but we have to accept that and we have enough competition in the squad to replace Victor.

"I saw a similar incident with Mathieu Flamini against Bournemouth and it was yellow and that tackle was more rash."

Crystal Palace v Watford (Sat, 15:00 GMT)

Crystal Palace have only scored 26 goals in 25 Premier League matches but boss Alan Pardew expects the goals to come soon.

"We've lost key players in one area really," says Pardew. "Our offensive area was wiped out. We've strengthened with big Ade (Emmanuel Adebayor) and now players are returning.

"It's very rare that you'd go through a season without a difficult period. This was ours, but hopefully that point (at Swansea) puts us on the right track."

On striker Adebayor, who joined Palace earlier this month, Pardew adds: "The instinctive part of the game may not kick in for a little while, but his levels were very good versus Swansea."

The attention turns to Saturday's Premier League match against Watford.

"We need to collect points - we're at a pivotal part of our season really," says Alan Pardew, whose Crystal Palace side have not won in the league since 19 December.

"We need to try to win against a good Watford side, then welcome our guys back and know that we're going to be much better going forward. Watford have been very impressive, particularly at home.

"Watford have avoided any falls. They had a tricky run and came out of it. They're having a good season, no doubt about that."

Can Leicester continue their surprise title challenge? Alan Pardew hopes so.

"We're a bit jealous of Leicester, all the clubs of a similar vein are," admits the Palace boss. "The romantic in you wants to see them pull it off."

Pardew is also asked about the rising cost of watching football.

"The owners of the football clubs need to really consider carefully that they don't lose the core supporters through ticket prices," said Pardew.

"It isn't just what happens on the pitch that makes the league what it is. It's the atmosphere, the tension, from the fans. When the core fanbase are making these messages, we need to listen."

Former Wolves striker Benik Afobe is hurt by claims from his former club that he was not trying in the months before he joined Bournemouth in January.

Speaking to fans on Wednesday, Wolves' head of football development and recruitment Kevin Thelwell said: "Benik was no longer trying to play for us. That was undermining everything we were trying to achieve."

But Afobe responded on Twitter: "I wasn't going to comment but this is too shocking and very hurtful.

"I asked to leave but only because I wanted to play in the Premier League, but I never told my team-mates or disrupted the changing room."
