Swansea have been without boss Francesco Guidolin in their dugout of late because of a chest infection. He is clearly on the mend but it is taking time, as he has just told reporters...

"I have finished with the antibiotics," says Guidolin. "Now, in this day, I went to a training session and met with my assistant.

"I prepared for the games against Arsenal, Norwich and now Bournemouth. I work with my assistant and with Alan (Curtis) every day but it is not possible for me to go out on the pitch for some days."

We mentioned Leicester midfielder Riyad Mahrez had been pictured in a Barcelona shirt while on a holiday.

Is Claudio Ranieri concerned that he is going to lose his player to the Spanish giants?

A smile and then a laugh from the Foxes boss suggests not.

"It is only speculation," Ranieri finally blurts out.

“Now we aren’t thinking about how many points, we’re thinking about Newcastle," says Foxes boss Ranieri.

“The league this year is crazy. We are fighting because it’s a crazy league and anything could happen. I think it will be another difficult match. They have good players, with fantastic fans.”

More from Southampton boss Ronald Koeman, who has been talking about his side's game at Stoke.

"We know we can keep clean sheets - it is difficult to score against us," says Koeman. "We need to keep that and improve our attacking to create more. That makes the difference for our ambitions to the end of the season.

"We know it is a big game against Stoke who are two points above us. Both teams have a lot of ambition to grow. It is always close between us. We don't put targets. We have an ambition to get in Europe.

"We didn't play well at Stoke. We were surprised by the fast counter-attacking of Stoke. We learned from that. We can beat them but we need to be at our top level."

Southampton boss Ronald Koeman has given some team news for this weekend's game against Stoke.

"Charlie [Austin] will be out for another 10 days to two weeks," says Koeman. "He will be fit after the international break. Shane [Long] is back and available. He can play.

[On Jose Fonte's suspension] "We don't have a lot of replacements in that position but we have enough defenders and we will make the best choice for this Saturday.

"He is an important player, the captain of the team but a red card and you are suspended. It is up to the rest to replace him."

Don't waste the good work - Hartleypublished at 14:11 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2016

    Rugby Union

England captain Dylan Hartley has just gave an interview to BBC Radio 5 live.

He says that the side's recent progress will count for nothing if they lose to Wales in the Six Nations at the weekend.

"It has been a nice start for us, the journey’s been good so far, but if we don’t get this weekend right it all kind of comes undone," adds Hartley.

"We want to improve every time we train, every time we play. The key thing against Ireland was the result, it left us with plenty of things to work on, we’ve worked hard over the last few weeks and we want to implement that against Wales.”

We heard from Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew earlier on and the Eagles boss praised striker Emmanuel Adebayor despite him only scoring once in his first seven games with the club.

Adebayor, who last played for Togo in June 2015, has shown his commitment to the London club by rejecting an international call-up for Togo, so he can focus on his Palace career.

However, Togo coach Tom Saintfiet hopes he will be able to convince Adebayor to change his mind about returning to the national team.

Harriet Millar-Mills drops to the bench to make way for second row Taylor.

"The team has improved with each win and we look forward to having the support of a home crowd," Bemand said.

Crystal Palace have not won a league match since 19 December, but have beaten three Premier League teams to reach the sixth round of the FA Cup, where they face Championship side Reading on Friday.

"Games in this competition don't reflect form in the league," says Pardew. "It's going to be a really tough game, the pitch won't help.

"We have made great progress, but the recent form has stained us. We want to put it behind us."

"We could win this game and we'll still have a lot of pressure on us against Leicester. There's nothing we can do about this."

Alan Pardew news conferencepublished at 13:24 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2016

Reading v Crystal Palace (Friday, 19:55 GMT)

Former Newcastle manager Alan Pardew admits he feels sympathy for current Toon boss Steve McClaren.

"Whatever I say becomes compounded. I feel for him (McClaren) and I feel for the club," says Pardew, who is hoping to win the FA Cup with Palace after losing in a final as a player and then again when manager of West Ham.

"We have a chance of winning something and that doesn't come around often - it's going to be very difficult," adds the Eagles boss.

"I don't see why I wouldn't play my strongest team, it's the quarter-final of the FA Cup! That's not even entered my mind. I'm looking forward to this game. All you can do is enjoy it."

Reading v Crystal Palace (Friday, 19:55 GMT)

Alan Pardew managed Reading for more than 200 games between 1999 and 2003 but is not expecting the best of reactions from the club's fans.

"I've never really had a great reception there, but that's understandable given how I left," says the Palace boss.

"The fans were always brilliant when I was there and that's all I could ask for. The reception is in their hands."

Pardew reveals that striker Marouane Chamakh has "tore an abductor" in a reserve match, but insists he is happy with Emmanuel Adebayor's "terrific" contribution since he joined Palace in January.

Reading v Crystal Palace (Friday, 19:55 GMT)

It is time for Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew to face the media as he prepares to face his old club Reading in the FA Cup on Friday.

"It will be a tough game," says Pardew. "It's a club and manager I know very well. They're a nice collective unity. They've got some good defensive assets and quality up the top of the pitch.

"I expect to see a team that next year will be pushing to get into the Premier League. This year, the cup is everything for them.

"We have a situation in the Premier League that is certainly causing us concern. But this is a great opportunity for us."

Harriet is one of the School Reporters in the BBC News School Report.

She said: "I have never really been into sport until I went to high school. In my first year my sister got me into playing netball and we ended up coming second in the league.

"At the time it was a big deal for me because it was the first medal I ever got but if my sister had never got me to play I wouldn’t have done so. Thank you Molly."

"It is our most important game because it is our next one."

[On the game against Wales at the World Cup] "We are a new England. Probably 70% are the same but the rest are new to Test rugby. We have a new philosophy to how we train, how we think and how we play. We are racing.

'Competition for places'published at 12:57 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2016

    Rugby Union

England head coach Eddie Jones has been speaking to the media before this weekend's Six Nations game with Wales at Twickenham. Here is a sample of what he has had to say...

"We are happy with the squad. There is great competition for places. Some players are unlucky to be left out.

"Joe [Launchbury] came back and trained on Monday. It is just a little early for him to start but he will do a good job finishing the game.

"Manu [Tuilagi] cut a hole in our defence on Tuesday. He has power and pace and an innate sense of rugby. That is not a bad combination."
