Southampton were thrashed 6-1 by Liverpool in the Capital One Cup earlier on this season so are they after revenge when the two teams meet at St. Mary's stadium again on Sunday?

"If there are any revenge feelings maybe that is good but you have to learn from the mistakes," says Southampton manager Ronald Koeman.

"That night they showed they were stronger, more clinical and with really high quality movements in attack.

"We gave them the space to punish us and that's what we have to learn - to be more compact and aggressive. We had a good start that evening but a good start is not enough."

England are in contention for a memorable win against South Africa and are on 165-4 off 13 overs, chasing 230 in their World T20 match.

"Since the Five Nations became Six in 2000, England have gone into the final game of the championship on five occasions knowing that victory would give them a Grand Slam.

"Only once have they won it and converted that position into a clean sweep of all five games.

"However, against France on Saturday, I fully expect England to deliver coach Eddie Jones a Grand Slam in his first campaign."

Southampton will have Victor Wanyama and Jose Fonte back for the visit of Liverpool on Sunday. Both clubs are on 44 points as they try to secure a spot in Europe next season but Liverpool have two games in hand on Saints.

"I expect a difficult one," said Southampton manager Ronald Koeman. "They have a really strong team, a lot of options and they've had two really good results against Manchester United in the Europa League.

"It was a must-win game for us against Stoke and it is the same again this weekend."

Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland has signed a new five-and-a-half-year contract.

The 23-year-old, who joined the Potters in January 2013, was already committed to Stoke until 2019 but has extended his deal for another two years.

Butland has made 99 saves this season, the most in the Premier League, and kept 10 clean sheets.

He is in the England squad for their pre-Euro 2016 friendlies against Germany and the Netherlands.

Butland became England's youngest goalkeeper when he made his debut against Italy in August 2012 aged 19.

Victoria Pendleton was allowed to trot through the winner's enclosure on Pacha Du Polder, despite missing out on the top four.

Possibly because she wasn't entirely sure which direction to head in.

And she was swift to applaud winning jockey Nina Carberry, who rode On The Fringe to victory.

Pacha Du Polder trainer Paul Nicholls tells BBC radio 5 live: "It's great for the team that won the race. But for Victoria to finish fifth after all the doubters was superb. We would not have let it happen if we had a doubt.

"She's had a thrill and I think it's good for racing all around the world. She's ridden a winner in everyone's eyes.

"People come out of the woodwork and they want to get back in their box quite honestly. What happened is what we thought would happen. I kept my counsel and got on with it. The horse was a legend."

Pacha Du Polder owner Andy Stewart on BBC Radio 5 live: "The plan is to go to Aintree. She has to have a couple more races to be able to qualify or the rules have to be changed. I've spoken to people about it.

"I think it's magnificent for Victoria. Winning at Wincanton is one thing, but coming fifth here after a year of riding is magnificent, it's a credit to the sport and a credit to her."

A year ago Victoria Pendleton had her first ever horse riding lesson. Twelve months on she is finishing fifth in the Foxhunter Chase on the final day at Cheltenham.

She tells BBC Radio 5 live: "That's as good as winning. I can't believe I did it. I got round.

"There's a few things I would change and it was a bit untidy at the start. This horse is a legend. Thanks for everyone who made it possible.

"I'm very grateful for all the support I've had. This is the most fun I've ever had. I'm so proud to be part of the festival in a small way."

There is a winner of course too. It's the 7-4 favourite On the Fringe. And well done Nina Carberry on board and trainer Enda Bolger.

How many people were predicting her to look a fool today?

Twelve months ago Victoria Pendleton had not sat on a horse.

She's just ridden Pacha Du Polder to fifth at Cheltenham. So steady to begin with and she just coasted through the field. You could feel the confidence growing and emanating from her.

You know what, she's in with a shout of placing here...
