All eyes are on Victoria Pendleton and the 25-1 Pacha Du Polder in this three-mile two-furlong amateur chase.

Pacha Du Polder's owner Andy Stewart spoke to BBC Radio 5 live about the decision to give Victoria Pendleton the mount.

"I did have reservations. But I talked to AP McCoy - the greatest jockey of all time - in Barbados. Listening to him and other people we became more relaxed. She has the competitive spirit you see in most jockeys."

Next up it's double Olympic champion Victoria Pendleton in the big amateur race.

There's no expectancy for her to win, but placing would be an incredible achievement.

She's just having a chat with the trainer of her horse Pacha Du Polder, Paul Nicholls.

On The Fringe is the 7-4 favourite.

Trainer Colin Tizzard has just given BBC Radio 5 live an update on the condition of Cue Card, who fell heavily late on with three to go in the Gold Cup.

"I just thank God that he got up," said Tizzard. "Two seconds before that you thought 'here we go' and he was slightly in front, then just put down - he hit it and went over.

"But he came back walking around without a care in the world, he is fine. It's hard to take but there's worse things that can happen. I just thank God he's OK.

"In four years that's the first time he has fallen and he has not looked like doing so before. (Jockey) Paddy (Brennan) does not want to talk to anyone at the moment."

Willie Mullins is still looking to train his first Gold Cup winner as Djakadam comes second.

"What do we have to do? Hopefully we'll be back again next year. I will never complain about second, although hopefully one year we'll break our duck," he tells BBC Radio 5 live.

After shedding tears of joy and emotion, Don Cossack trainer Gordon Elliott has composed himself enough to speak to BBC Radio 5 live.

"I really can't believe it. I'm delighted for the staff and my family. I'm shell shocked. I'd love to look at it again but it was something special."

On Paddy Brennan's decision to push Cue Card before the fall at the fourth fro last: "It's one of those calls. Paddy will be reliving it more than anyone. When a horse goes on the floor you always question if you should have held off but if it goes right it works brilliantly."

Bryan Cooper struts out to the winner's circle on Don Cossack to an adoring crowd.

Just two years ago Cooper was laid up with a horrible broken leg injury and missed this race.

So it's the 2-1 favourite Don Cossack from the Ruby Walsh-ridden Djakadam.

Walsh pushed late on but then drifted.

It looked a nasty fall for Cue Card but the excellent news is the horse is up and about.
