Ashley Smith: Wigan away was always a guilty pleasure. Full stand allocation, cheap tickets and a pub away fans took over.

Ben Winfield: York City away with Yeovil at the start of the season. No seats, no roof, rained all night and it was a dreadful game.

Francesco Manfredi: Southend fan here. Best away ground I went to was Leeds, was snowing, great pies. Worst away ground is Dagenham, ew. Just ew.

Indonesia want to appoint Jose Mourinho as head coach, according to the country's sports minister. Yes, Indonesia.

Ranked 185th in the world, Indonesia have been banned from international competition since last year over government interference in football.

Sports minister Imam Nahrawi says he has discussed a deal for the ex-Chelsea boss - thought to cost £13m per year - with Indonesian President Joko Widodo.

Since being sacked by Chelsea, Mourinho has been linked with Manchester United.

One of Roberto Martinez's shorter news conferences, that...

As with last week's preview of the Leicester game, the journalists were asking questions about Everton's transfer plans over the summer with the unspoken inference being 'are you still going to be around to oversee them?'

Once again, Martinez would only speak about the here and now.

Everton boss Roberto Martinez believes his team were distracted by being bystanders at Leicester's Premier League party on Saturday.

He adds: "As a team, we have to react from the disappointment from the weekend. The Bouremouth performance (in the previous game) wasn't a stylish performance but was a performance with a lot of guts.

"Against Leicester we got distracted and caught up in that celebration environment."

Everton boss Roberto Martinez was involved in his fair share of relegation scraps with former club Wigan and, before his side's game against relegation-battling Sunderland on Wednesday, he's asked what it's like being in that position.

The Black Cats go into the game on the back of beating Chelsea, while Everton were well beaten at Leicester City last weekend.

“You look at Sunderland and they’ve found a winning formula," said Martinez. "When you carry a bit of momentum, suddenly you have nothing to lose.

"The real strength of this Sunderland side is that they are on the up. They beat Chelsea, they drew with Arsenal. We have to match their intensity. We are going to learn our lessons from the Leicester game."

He added: "You win and you lose as a team and if you don't reach a level of intensity it is difficult to compete with anyone. We all have a strong a desire to get back to our level and tomorrow is a chance to do that."

Hummels and Sanches in at Bayernpublished at 12:02 British Summer Time 10 May 2016

    Football

So, Bayern Munich have signed Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels and Benfica midfielder Renato Sanches from the start of next season.

Who do Bayern play in the German Cup final on 21 May - only Borussia Dortmund. If it needed it, Hummels moving back to Bayern should spice that game up a notch or 100.

Hummels had one year on his contract left with Borussia Dortmund and no transfer fee has been revealed.

Sanches, who had a medical on Monday, has signed a five-year deal with the German champions. Bayern paid €35m (£28m) for the Portugal international, who was also wanted by Manchester United, which could rise to €45m.

He's normally the most positive man in football, but even manager Roberto Martinez has had his usual cheery optimism snuffed out by Everton's recent miserable form.

He couldn't put a gloss on the Toffees' display in a 3-1 loss at champions Leicester on Saturday, claiming only teenage defender Matthew Pennington could "hold his head high" following the game.

Is Martinez a condemned man? With many fans protesting against the Spaniard after one win in nine league games, many feel his days as Goodison boss are numbered.

Whatever happens, he is due to face the media shortly as he tries to lift his players for Wednesday's game at Sunderland.

Burnley's Joey Barton has to go without Championship medal

Burnley media manager Darren Bentley has taken the blame for Joey Barton not receiving a Championship winners' medal.

The Football League had advised that 25 medals were to be presented, but the club put forward 27 players.

Clarets player of the year Barton, 33, was one of the last to arrive at Burnley Town Hall as the players were about to lift the trophy while defender James Tarkowski also missed out.

"In all the excitement, I just completely lost the plot and all 27 went forward - of course it would be Joey that's last, wouldn't it?" Bentley told BBC Radio 5 live.

"I've apologised to both the lads. They were really good about it and they know they're going to get their medals."
