Brook not big enough draw for Khanpublished at 09:10 British Summer Time 10 May 2016

    Boxing

Amir Khan might have been knocked out in brutal style by Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez but he says a fight against British rival and IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook will never happen.

"Eddie Hearn [Brook's promoter] keeps saying Brook is a big draw, but he's not," said Khan.

"I respect him, he's got a world title, but he's not a big name. He's gone down his route, I've gone down my route and I don't like him.

"I want to fight the biggest names, leave a great legacy and I've only got a few fights left.

Blame players if Man City miss out on top four - Bacary Sagnapublished at 09:01 British Summer Time 10 May 2016

    Football

Manchester City will have a keen eye on events at Upton Park tonight as West Ham play Manchester United and it won't be for sentimental reasons.

In the Hammers' last game at the stadium, City need Manchester United to slip up if finishing in the top four and qualifying for next season's Champions League is to be back in their hands going into the final game of the season on Sunday.

"We had everything in our hands to be the best," said 33-year-old City defender Bacary Sagna.

"We deserve it. We gave it a lot. Of course we are not perfect, of course we could have done better, but we deserve to be in the Champions League places."

You might still be struggling to believe that believe Leicester City have won the Premier League title but it has happened and it is true.

But they won't be signing any prima donnas if head of recruitment Steve Walsh has anything to do with it. He says the club's summer transfer plans will focus on strong-minded players who work hard without the ball.

"It's about making sure the players you bring in are strong of character, and can do the tasks we ask them to do when we haven't got the ball," he told BBC Radio 5 live.

"We have a DNA. For me, it's not just about their ability on the ball. It's what they're prepared to give to the team when we haven't got it."

Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck could be out of Euro 2016 because of injury but is Sunderland striker Jermain Defoe an option to replace him in the England squad? Black Cats boss Sam Allardyce seems to think so.

Defoe, 33, scored his 15th Premier League goal of the season in Saturday's 3-2 win over Chelsea.

Tottenham's Harry Kane (25) and Leicester's Jamie Vardy (24) are the only Englishmen with more top-flight goals this season.

"He can still do it at the highest level," Allardyce told BBC Sport.

"His record tells Roy [Hodgson] that if he needs to score goals at the Euros, Jermain Defoe is there," added Allardyce. "If he needs the option, Jermain Defoe is a very good option for him."

West Ham will play their final competitive game at Upton Park tonight when they play Manchester United and Hammers boss Slaven Bilic says it will be "impossible" to make the club's new home of the Olympic Stadium a "fortress".

"When you played Arsenal at Highbury, it wasn't dangerous but you felt it," said Bilic. "Then we played against them at the Emirates and we enjoyed it; the players were taking selfies.

"The Upton Park stadium was a first home. No matter where you move after that - if you move to a fancy apartment, a big house or to a mansion - your favourite one is always the first."
