Andy Murray is through to his first semi-final in Rome since 2011 with a 6-1 7-5 win over David Goffin, and he'll be glad to have finished off Goffin in a tense second set.

Huge clouds of red dust blew across the court as the wind got up, repeatedly halting play, but Goffin's serve was too vulnerable, Murray breaking seven times to win in straight sets.

He goes on to face France's Lucas Pouille, the world number 52 who's had an incredible week after losing in qualifying but then replacing the injured Jo-WIlfried Tsonga.
