Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino: "We can feel a little bit disappointed because the gap behind Leicester is big, but realistically we have a very good, young squad.

"If it is not possible to win the title this season, we need to try next season. The potential of the club and the squad we have is massive, and the important thing is to build the project and philosophy and to settle the basis.

"The basis is now very solid and only the future can be brilliant."

It's looking good for Leicester's Mark Selby in the World Championship final. He leads Ding Junhui 14-11 after a closely fought afternoon session.

Selby pinched the last frame to leave himself just four frames from victory heading into the evening session.

"The point that Leicester earned at Old Trafford means Tottenham now have to win all three of their remaining games to finish champions, starting at Stamford Bridge on Monday.

"Chelsea have nothing to play for in terms of league position but, as some of their players have already said, they do not want Spurs to go there and win, and would love it if their London rivals miss out on the title.

"So it will be a very tough game for Mauricio Pochettino's side. Leicester have done their bit, now it is over to Tottenham and we will find out if they can respond."

Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman is finally hoping to put his injury nightmare behind him when he makes his first start in 463 days against Genoa in Serie A this evening.

The Netherlands international hasn't been in starting XI since a 1-1 draw with Fiorentina on 25 January last year.

Strootman has suffered a series of knee ligament problems over the last two years, requiring three operations.

Chelsea defenders John Terry and Gary Cahill are expected to be available to face Tottenham on Monday.

Terry has missed 10 of the past 12 matches with hamstring and Achilles problems, while illness ruled Cahill out of last week's win at Bournemouth.

Spurs midfielder Eric Dier is a doubt after suffering concussion against West Brom last week.

Dele Alli begins a three-match ban for violent conduct. It will be the first league game he's missed since November's goalless draw with Chelsea.

Brazilian striker Hulk netted two from the spot and Alexander Kokorin and Artur Yusupov scored a goal apiece as Andre Villas-Boas' side beat CSKA Moscow 4-1.

Over at the Crucible, it's still advantage Mark Selby in snooker's World Championship final.

Batsmen Ahmed Shehzad and Umar Akmal (pictured) will play no part in Pakistan's tour of England after they were dropped from the squad for disciplinary reasons.

Chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq, who named 35 players in the provisional party, said: "We have to be strict on discipline and for that we have to take some serious steps."

Fast bowler Mohammad Amir, who was banned for five years for spot-fixing on Pakistan's 2010 tour of England, is among those in the squad.
