Juventus have just beaten Tottenham in their Melbourne friendly, but all the Juve talk still revolves around Paul Pogba.

According to the Daily Mail,, external Pogba's agent will hold a meeting with the club today as he tries to close the potential world record transfer to Manchester United.

The newspaper report United have made an offer of £92m plus £10m in bonuses but Juventus want more plus the 20% due to agent Mino Raiola and Pogba to be paid by United.

According to the Telegraph,, external Mamadou Sakho has been ordered home from Liverpool's tour of America by manager Jurgen Klopp.

The 26-year-old is alleged to have turned up late for Liverpool's flight out while last weekend he interrupted Klopp while the manager was conducting an interview with the club website.

Durham veteran Mark Stoneman has signed with Surrey for the start of the 2017 cricket season.

Stoneman made his debut for Durham in 2007 and has passed 1,000 first-class runs in each of the past three seasons.

"The desire to play for England is as strong as it has ever been," he said.

Spurs have pulled one back, thanks to a fine steal in midfield from Victor Wanyama. He muscles his way out of a Juventus tackle, sets up Erik Lamela who shoots low past Neto. Lovely bit of smash and grab from the new signing Wanyama, who arrived from Southampton this summer.

Bournemouth have agreed a fee of £3m for Liverpool defender Brad Smith, the Bournemouth Daily Echo reports., external

The 22-year-old Australia international is understood to be undergoing a medical with the club having returned from Liverpool's pre-season tour of his native country.

Smith made five Premier League appearances for Jurgen Klopp's side last season.

Close for Spurs as Erik Lamela has a go from 30 yards out and the shot takes a deflection. It slides wide of the post, but it's the best chance of the game for the Premier League side. This has been a brighter half of football from Spurs.

Time for your daily Paul Pogba update, with more drama around the midfielder's £100m move to Manchester United from Juventus. 

According to reports, the switch is being held up by a row over who will pay Pogba's agent a £25m fee. There's more about it in our Gossip column.

It's a sharper start from Spurs as Harry Winks flicks the ball to Joshua Onomah but a good block from Juventus ends that challenge.  

A great chance for Juventus goes begging, though, as Miralem Pjanic shoots over the crossbar from about eight yards out. Oops.

Lyon have announced they have rejected a bid from Arsenal for striker Alexandre Lacazette. 

After a report in a French newspaper said the Gunners had offered 48m euros for Lacazette, 25, but the Ligue 1 club issued a statement, external saying the bid had actually been for 35m euros.

Lyon said they were not interested in the offer from the Premier League club because the France international is "irreplaceable."

Lacazette has scored 21 goals in 34 league appearances.

Mauricio Pochettino has hurried off to give his half-time briefing at the MCG. Juventus still lead thanks to some poor defending from Tottenham. Spurs looked more confident as the half went on but it's all a little bit flat at the minute.
