Spurs struggle at the MCGpublished at 11:40 British Summer Time 26 July 2016

    Tottenham 0-2 Juventus

Tickets for this game were $105 (£60) for adults and $60 (£34) for kids. They've seen some goals, if nothing else...

It's quietened down after the two Juventus goals but Spurs don't look convincing in defence. They have their first real sight of the goal as Tom Carroll swings a corner in and an unmarked Victor Wanyama sees his cross blocked away.

Sman Ejii: Zlatan will be one of the best free transfer for United. Pogba was the best for Juventus with great contribution to club & a record fee for United get him back

Alex Young: Kieran Westwood Sunderland to Sheffield Wednesday. What a keeper he is.

Daniel Jordan: Gary McAllister to Liverpool. Bizarre and questioned signing at the time due to his age, but what a signing he turned out to be. One of Gerard Houllier's best transfers.

Lee Hough: Teddy Sheringham to United. He was a big player for them and a big influence in their treble winning season...I'm sure he was a free transfer from Spurs??

Wrong I'm afraid, Lee. United paid £3.5m for Teddy. Still a bargain, though.

    Rio 2016

Five sprint canoeists have become the latest Russian athletes to be banned from competing at the Rio Olympics.

The sport's governing body said Elena Aniushina, Natalia Podolskaia, Alexander Dyachenko, Andrey Kraitor and Alexey Korovashkov were implicated in the damning World Anti-Doping Agency (Wada) report into state-sponsored doping in the country.

Eighteen Russian athletes have now been banned since the International Olympic Committee said individual federations should decide if Russians can compete.

    Tottenham 0-2 Juventus

Tottenham's defending has been interesting, to say the least. First Dominic Ball gets caught out of position but Paulo Dybala's volley is well saved by Michel Vorm. Then Spurs completely fail to clear a corner and Medhi Benatia heads home.

Conor McReynolds: Claudio Pizarro from Bayern Munich to Chelsea. Paid nothing for him, and we still felt robbed

    Tottenham 0-1 Juventus

Juventus have taken the lead after five minutes at the MCG. Tottenham's defence made a real meal of clearing the ball in midfield. Roberto Pereyra picked out Paulo Dybala, who went one-on-one with Michel Vorm and slid it into the bottom corner.

Mauricio Pochettino won't be best pleased with that.
