Up to a third of Premier League clubs are set to miss their own deadline to meet basic access standards for disabled fans, campaigners say.

Last year the league promised to improve stadium facilities for disabled fans, stating that clubs would comply with official guidance by August 2017.

That followed a 2014 BBC investigation that found 17 of the 20 clubs failed to provide enough wheelchair spaces.

Joyce Cook, chair of Level Playing Field, called the delay "unacceptable".

"We think up to a third of clubs are not going to meet this pledge," Cook added.

"This is a promise that they made themselves, they set their own deadline."

British cyclist Chris Froome has released a statement after his medical records were leaked by a group of hackers calling itself "Fancy Bears".

The records released mostly detail "Therapeutic Use Exemptions" (TUEs) allowing banned substances to be taken for athletes' verified medical needs.

Froome said: "I've openly discussed my TUEs with the media and have no issues with the leak, which only confirms my statements. In nine years as a professional I've twice required a TUE for exacerbated asthma, the last time was in 2014."

A British Cycling spokesperson added: "We're proud of our strong anti-doping culture at British Cycling. We condemn the publication of any individual's medical information without their permission."

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has been full of praise for new loan signing Jack Wilshere and striker Callum Wilson.

Wilshere joined from Arsenal on deadline day, while Wilson scored his first goal for almost a year on Saturday, following a six-month lay-off with a medial knee ligament injury.

That goal gave the Cherries their first Premier League win of the season as they beat West Brom.

"I've been really pleased with Jack Wilshere - he was a contributing factor to us winning the game. He has outstanding quality," Howe said.

He added: "I think naturally when you're a centre-forward, you need that goal to get you going. Callum Wilson looks full of confidence."

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has been speaking to the press this morning.  They are travelling north to face Premier League leaders Manchester City this weekend.

"I see Manchester City as potential champions this season. They have a manager who, in my opinion, is right at the very top. They've started so well so we're going to have to be at the very top of our game to get something," he said.

Howe was asked about Sergio Aguero's absence following his domestic three-match ban.

"Their performance against Manchester United last week didn't suggest they're crying out for Sergio Aguero. They've got quality everywhere," he said.
