    Football

Almost time for us to say farewell. Almost being the key word.

    Some breaking news from Glasgow...

Rangers midfielder Joey Barton has been signed off with stress and negotiations on a deal which would allow him to leave the club are ongoing.

The 34-year-old was told to return to train with the under 20's last week following a six-week suspension for a training ground bust up with team mates in September.

More to follow on the BBC Sport website soon....

And that's a wrap! The lights dim in Rotterdam - after a quick plug for ticket sales.

Let's give a special thanks to draw masters Nadine Kessler and Manon Melis. They've given us all the game we wanted!

No shocks - the final piece of paper going into Group D does have 'Scotland' printed out on it. Phew.

And then we find out that they will play England in the opening game!

That will take place on Wednesday 19 July in Utrecht.

Now we're getting to the nitty gritty. Our two draw machines - the human equivalent of Guinevere and Lancelot - are being introduced on stage.

It is only Manon Melis and Nadine Kessler! All-time Netherlands top scorer Melis and German Euro 2013 winner Kessler - one of the all-time greats of the women's game - will pick out those 16 pieces of beautifully-cut rectangular paper.

The draw is moments away, we think.

Like all good Uefa draws, this one is being strung out longer than an episode of Eastenders. Without the drama. Hang on for the 'duh duh' moment...

The Euro 2017 trophy, won on the past SIX occasions by Germany, is carried out on stage by a bloke who I presume is a high-ranking member of the DFB.

The footballing illuminati are treated to a brief video, presumably put together by the Netherlands national tourist board at high expense, highlighting the beauty and culture of each host city.

Amsterdam is not one, however. So we don't see too many neon lights and shady narrow backstreets.
