    Antonio Conte on fifth-placed Tottenham: "Against Tottenham [previously] was a tough game. I watched it again. In the first half they played well and put us under a lot of pressure. 

    "In the second half we played very well but Tottenham showed great form. For me, Tottenham are better than last season. They have a good manager who is working very well. It is right to compliment Pochettino."

    Chelsea manager Antonio Conte on his side's record-equaling run: "It is a great achievement for us. To win 13 games in a row is not easy. We are pleased for this. Tomorrow, we know that we have a tough game against Tottenham. It is a good team. For this reason we need to continue our run!"

    Manchester City defender Bacary Sagna must explain his "10 against 12" Instagram post made after his side's 2-1 win over Burnley on Monday.

    City were reduced to 10-men from the 32nd minute after referee Lee Mason sent off midfielder Fernandinho.

    Sagna has deleted the post but the Football Association has contacted the full-back to ask for his observations.

    He has until 17:00 GMT on Friday to respond.

    West Ham are appealing against the red card shown to Sofiane Feghouli during Monday's defeat by Manchester United.

    The midfielder was sent off by referee Mike Dean for a challenge on Red Devils defender Phil Jones 15 minutes into a match the Hammers lost 2-0.

    West Ham boss Slaven Bilic said Jones "made a meal" of the tackle from the Algeria international.

    Feghouli is the fifth player to be dismissed by Dean in the Premier League this season.

    There could be a club v country row brewing, involving Cameroon, Liverpool's Joel Matip and Allan Nyom of West Brom.

    Both players have been named in Cameroon's 35-man provisional squad for the Africa Cup of Nations.

    Matip and Nyom are two of seven squad members who have said they do not want to go to the tournament, but Cameroon team manager Alphonse Tchapmi says he expects them both to arrive at their training camp in the city of Yaounde tonight.

    “We have three players who are due to arrive (Tuesday evening), notably Allan Nyom and Joel Matip. The third player is Eric Maxim Choupo Moting," he said., external

    Cameroon’s coach Hugo Broos said last month that "the federation reserves the right to take action against the players in accordance with Fifa regulations."

    There are three Premier League games this evening, the first of which kicks off at 19:45 GMT at the Vitality Stadium where Bournemouth host Arsenal.

    Striker Benik Afobe will be available for the home side after opting not to play for DR Congo at this month's Africa Cup of Nations.

    However, on-loan Jack Wilshere is ineligible against his parent club and Marc Pugh remains an injury doubt.

    Arsenal could be without midfielder Mesut Ozil, who missed the win over Crystal Palace through illness.

    Mohamed Elneny is at the Africa Cup of Nations, while Theo Walcott and Kieran Gibbs could miss out through injury.

    Luton's McGeehan breaks leg - then gets bookedpublished at 13:02 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2017

    Luton midfielder Cameron McGeehan broke his leg during Monday's 1-0 loss to Portsmouth - and was then booked for pounding the floor in pain or frustration afterwards.

    McGeehan was injured in the 16th minute of the League Two match and was shown a yellow card while being stretchered off the pitch.

    Pompey fans reportedly sang "you're going home in an ambulance", external to the 21-year-old, who has scored 11 goals in 28 matches for League Two side Luton this term.  

    Portsmouth chose not to respond directly to Jones' comments, but a spokesman said everyone at the club sends their best wishes to McGeehan for a full and speedy recovery.

    Notts County will be hoping that all that time working under the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson and David O'Leary has paid off for Alan Smith. They have put the ex-England, Leeds and Manchester United striker Alan Smith in temporary charge for Saturday's match at Morecambe, reports BBC Nottingham.

    The Magpies sacked manager John Sheridan on Monday, after a run of nine successive defeats left them one point above the League Two relegation zone.

    Smith, 36, has been a player-coach at Notts since joining in May 2014.
